To think I was worried about the Girls Aloud reunion/Stooshe/the arrival of Little Mix sending The Sats into oblivion. :lol:

I hope they finally get that much craved number 1.

I know this is a long shot but I hope the song sells quite well because if they get the #1 and a good sales run by the end of the year they may finally get nominated for Best British Single at the Brit Awards!

If they do get that #1 then I think that'd really show how consistent they are as single artists. Considering their last top 3 single would've been nearly 2 years ago. But I'm still trying to expect the worse haha.

I loved how the last Girls Aloud single didn't go #1 (well, Something New, I don't even know if BCYLM charted anywhere), the last two singles of Little Mix didn't either and God knows if Stooshe released Waterfalls afterall or not.

 

Now, the girls have a chance at the number one with a song called "What about us?", saying things as : "

 

Oh why are we awaiting so long (for this number one) I'm suffocatin'

It's now or never (for the number one)

Been a long time comin' (for that number one)

Now I need that lovin' (and that number one)

I'll take the lead (on iTunes)

1D is so far behind us (on iTunes)

Whatever the (charts placing), we won't get dropped

What about those words you say (The Sats won't ever get a number 1) (NANANANANA! as if "NONONONO")

the girls have done so well to stay relevent for the time they have. they need a #1 and another biggie, then they should cash in with a Greatest Hits - jesus knows they have had enough hits!

 

The chart run of 30 Days and MHTO is depressing, so I hope they finally turn things around and have a proper HIT single.

It's absolutely amazing that they look like they're hitting a new peak in relevancy FIVE YEARS into their careers. A girl group, too! :o

Maybe going away was indeed what they needed. Who knew!

It's certainly a fantastic and promising start for them and they really do deserve it. It's hard to believe it'll be 5 years this July since 'If This Is Love' and they're finally might have a number 1 on their hands. :D

I think they're benefitting really well from being #1 on iTunes and hopefully the exposure being #1 on the BigTop40 with further or more importantly stabilise What About Us' popularity. :)

 

Did anyone get the 2ndAdventure Remix? I purchased the radio edit so thats 3 sales haha.

^yeah i got the cd, remix ep and ep.... im praying for an acoustic release on Wednesday!!

They should really put the Sats-Only version, it could get them some extra sales.

 

I think what's helping them is the fact that are shown as being #1 on both the single and album charts, so people are interrested in hearing the snippet of the song, click on it, love it (because it's one of their best songs ever) and buy it. :yahoo:

It's so weird seeing their name above the likes of One Direction, Pink, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars. :o

I can't Believe how far a head of One Direction they are! Imagine if 1D dropped to like 50% :D

they dont have any banner ads or anything either :)
