Posted November 11, 201113 yr First of all, I wasn't sure whether to put this in TV/Soaps or Reality, so mods, feel free to move it if you think fit. Onto the show itself! A whole programme dedicated to Miss Amy Childs is sure to be LIFE ITSELF, so I hope all of you are just as excited as I am to see this. I can't find the advert on YouTube yet, but I'll post it once it's online.
November 11, 201113 yr I don't understand why total nobodies now get TV shows revolving around them. I sort of understand the concept of TOWIE but to centre a show around one of its lame "characters" strikes me as a tad unnecessary and a poor excuse for television.
November 12, 201113 yr Was she EVEN the breakout star of TOWIE? She might have coined the whole vajazzle thing but surely there were better liked characters? Amy was neither interesting nor particularly entertaining from the bits I've seen. If anyone was to get their own show it should obviously be Joey and Chloe.
November 12, 201113 yr SERIOUSLY CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS. TOWIE has become like my favourite programme ever...although recently it's become a bit TOO staged for my liking! Plus, I'm having serious Amy withdrawal symptoms, so I'm hoping this will cure that!

I'm sure about 90% of regular watchers would agree with that. She's certainly the breakout star from it and the most well liked. (although I would LOVE Chloe to get a solo show)! _vTzuZk1OHA + bosIoy57OpA =
November 12, 201113 yr Oh dear... I find nothing even remotely entertaining about her whatsoever. Pretty much everybody else on it is funnier/more deserving of a spinoff.
November 12, 201113 yr To be honest they just need to do a THE HILLS UK and show these orange bitches how it's DONE. Kristin Cavallari can do a coked-up cameo.
November 12, 201113 yr I don't like any of these shows! Well I am happy to watch TOWIE if it's on but I never put it on. The rest I would never watch involuntarily or otherwise. The Brits just can't do this sort of scripted reality show without it coming across all self aware and horrible and you know this Amy spinoff is going to be some seriously humourless shit. Alternatively I'd be happy to have a Real Housewives of Shepherd's Bush. *.*
November 12, 201113 yr As excited as I am for a show about Amy who I love (and I agree with Cremey, she is the breakout star ... pretty sure she was one of the first to use 'well jel' too), I can't help but feel Channel 5 will f*** it up, they have such cheap production values and generally fail at making an entertaining series as can be seen on the latest series of Big Brother that the f***ed up enormously. Wish she just stayed in TOWIE where she probably would've grew in popularity really whereas now I can see her star fading ...
December 2, 201113 yr I absolutely LOVED it  "Drew, i can't afford to pick piss up" Edited December 2, 201113 yr by ROBOT
December 3, 201113 yr I watched this. It was shit. It's official, channel 5 will screen any old crap. Whuuuut? She pretty much MADE Towie. I'm sure about 90% of regular watchers would agree with that. Er no they wouldn't. Arg and Joey Essex are the stars of TOWIE, and are the only ones I'd be interested in seeing shows of. It was all centred around Mark, not Amy. Amy didn't even put her real life on the screen, all her storylines were 100% set up and she was hardly in it when she left.
December 4, 201113 yr We can all discuss our personal favourites but it IS pretty obvious that she made the first two series? She was the one that got most people talking and laughing hence why she was the first to jump ship from TOWIE to BB. Tbh I can't see TOWIE lasting much beyond next year. The format was an overnight success that is sure to come crashing down as quick as it went up. It's a flimsy format that can only entertain for so long.
December 4, 201113 yr Author Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree - especially after Mark (essentially) slagging the show off on I'm a Celeb...
December 4, 201113 yr Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree - especially after Mark (essentially) slagging the show off on I'm a Celeb... What did he say? :o
December 4, 201113 yr Author Well he was basically saying how they painted him to be something he's not, and that he's glad that he got to be on I'm a Celeb to just be himself. I wouldn't be surprised if his whole bromance with Arg was forced as well.
December 4, 201113 yr You think his bromance with Arg was forced? Did you even watch I'm a celebrity? Mark is a bromance machine! Dougie and Anthony?
December 6, 201113 yr Loved it. Amy may be a little thick but she is lovely and so bubbly. Glad she's been able to open her own salon and make some money out of TOWIE.
December 23, 201113 yr I really love Amy's clothing range, she is ditzy but likeable, me my sister and my mum seemed to be a little hooked on her and were not the type to usually follow reality TV stars but we think she has good taste in how she dresses unlike Jordan, Amy doesn't dress trashy. I actually saw her at Britain & Ireland's next top model Live shows, underneath all that fake tan and false eyelashes, Amy Childs seems like a nice person.
