32. Don't Let Go (Love) - En Vogue

68. Don't Let Go - En Vogue

I'm assuming this is a 90's song, as I don't know it at all?

When does Olly need to be top 5 by to have a chance at number 1? I woulda thought he'd be a little bit higher than 65 by now? I suppose he does have alot of young fans who'd have been asleep since it's been out though. HSAB is actually higher at this point (it's a shame he had to perform that on CIN). Pity he's not been able to perform DWMT on tv at all thanks to the silly X Factor exclusivity thing and he's had trouble shifting HSAB from the radio playlists. Whatever happens I'm sure his album will shift bucketloads, especially on the back of his X Factor performance.

I don't think there *is* such a thing - more like radio reluctance to play XF related songs.

ISTM he'd need a 20%+ lead by the end of the day, as all XF/boyband singles are very front-loaded.

In any case RiRi will be getting XF boosted herself, so that'll negate any boost that OM might have gotten.

Will Young's new single is out today, not that anyone would know other than dedicated fans. I can't even find it on itunes? I wish his record company would support his singles more, especially after the success of Jealousy, surely they can see a good charting for a single brings up album sales too!

It's ok, found it now, bought the remix and beatless versions, which are great. His voice is to die for.

Heart skips a beat has been his biggest hit to date and Olly mentioned that as being a problem in getting DWMT played. You don't think that's an issue?

Thanks, a 20% lead eh... it makes sense that it'll be frontloaded. Rihanna should get a boost although alot of people will already have her single as it's been selling well for a while plus they might just buy the album.

I didnt realise the James Morrison duet with JesseJ was officially released today, i assume its because they were on the CIN concert and Strictly come dancing tonight ?

I can't see that his record company are at fault. It's all down to poor support from the commercial radio stations.

Lol at Olly Murs saying he's had a problem getting DWMT. Will fans would be delighted with similar support from commercial radio for his second single.

Well, it was produced by Red One. You can't expect a unique record (ala Little Boots' "Remedy") when you hear his name or Dr. Luke's on the production of a song nowadays.

I know everybody will hate me for this, but I didn't think even Remedy was very unique. It was catchy, but very generic imo.

47. Rebecca Ferguson – Nothing's Real But Love

60. Avicii – Levels (& 249, 374)

61. Olly Murs - Dance With Me Tonight

116. Will Young – Come On (only album version)

158. Kasabian – Re-Wired

164. Kelly Rowland – Down For Whatever

Yep, and it's their signature song, I'm surprised you don't know it!

Avicii is on fire. I feared he wouldn't be popular after Flo's success but now it seems we will have the same sample twice in the top-5.

Olly Murs  24

Rebecca Ferguson  43

Kelly Rowland  64

En Vogue 26 and 60! :cheer:

Britney and Jedwards singles are out today as well but will predictably prong even peak the Top.100 :( I was really expecting them and Kelly Rowland to be performing on it this week, not Rihanna for the billionth time. Maybe the same with Adele but I think that'd be impossible right now with her throat surgery

Olly's fans have literally woken up.

Olly's song are more mainstream pop so you'd expect him to get more airplay than Will, he goes more for the radio 2 crowd whereas Olly has more diverse appeal. Anyway the Heart network aren't playing DWMT, so he's not had total support. Tbh I think alot of it is politics, unless you're The Wanted then you never really know how you'll fare. Hey it could be worse for Will, look at poor Cliff Richard!

Heart have just added it to this weeks playlist.

Well that blows Heart's explanation that they only play songs that are already Hits. All down to whether you are the latest flavour of the month, as it is with most commercial radio stations.

Avicii 'Levels' shot up fast then. :o Rebecca Ferguson started off so high and had hardly moved up since earlier this morning. Will be interesting to see if Olly Murs can get his second UK #1 of 2011.

He's still at #102, at #60 there was that remix/fake. :(

:D Good! Was baffled why they weren't playing it earlier. I thought that with it being retro radio 2 might have played it too but no. That's one station Will has over Olly.

Tbf though DWMT definately will be a hit. Maybe they look at what other radio stations are doing first to see if a song is likely to be big or not.

Oh. :( I just read the update Herbs posted.

Interesting that 'Levels' has done so well across Europe without any music video yet in the UK (as per usual) people just don't buy singles unless they see the music video endlessly on the music channels.
