Damn! Although Olly has tweeted that he's number 1 for Capital big top 40 so maybe his EP sales have pushed him ahead? I don't know what criteria that chart uses.

How is the Big Top 40 determined. I always thought it was a billboard style chart, including airplay... but i don't think it is :/

They 'freeze' it at 6pm and they count down the iTunes top 10 from that point.

o right... so how is Olly #1? lol

No idea  He was obviously just totally wrong I guess.

Olly is at number 2 so he can't be far off number 1 if you go off the popularity bars. Anyway the main thing is that he's building a lead over Rihanna, should be a close battle.

Less than 0.01% so about 1 minute!

It includes airplay from commercial radio station between #11 and #40 (like Billboard), and combines the airplay with the sales over the entire week from iTunes, and the top 10 is the live top 10 on iTunes as of 6pm.

The chart can be such a mess sometimes. I've been thinking for a while now, they should just do the live iTunes top 40 as of 4pm. It'd be so much easier for people to understand, and you'd get some interesting songs charting. And they keep marketing it as the "chart that you can change", but realistically, it's too difficult to "change" the bit that you can change, since you need thousands of people to get involved. A small compaign of a few hundred people could feasibly get a song into the top 40 briefly though, I would think, so that would be another advantage of them doing the live top 40.

i love DWMT and as much as id like to see it at no1 i dont know if it can get enough of a lead before Rihanna's performace

Flo Rida 1.0000

Olly 0.9991

Rihanna 0.9493

Rihanna light green she not that far from Olly. Wit her xfactor perfomance I think she could sneak a 6th week. :D

Olly's closer than any of the boybands got and that was with an X Factor performance! this could be a lot closer than the last few weeks

1. Dance With Me Tonight - Olly Murs

10. Down For Whatever (feat. The WAV.s) - Kelly Rowland

Olly will be #1 if Rihanna does 'You Da One' but if she does 'We Found Love' then he might have to settle for #2.

Wow Olly #1! His fanbase are very dedicated!

Rihanna should be back later tonight, it has to be WFL performance!
