Posted November 14, 201114 yr UK MIdweek Chart: Snow Patrol and One Direction set for number one spot 14:29 | Tuesday November 15, 2011 Source: MW By Charlotte Otter Singles Former X Factor contestant One Direction meanwhile, look set to debut at number one at the weekend with their latest release, Gotta Be You. The track has sold less units than their debut What Makes You Beautiful, which has racked up the fastest selling first-week single of 2011, however it is still more than 400 units ahead of We Found Love by Rhianna feat. Calvin Harris which currently sits at number two. It is not the only single by the Irish boy band entering the charts this week, with their track, Another Heart resting at 37 in the midweeks, just ahead of one of two Westlife singles in the chart, Poet’s Heart. Lighthouse by the band meanwhile looks set to enter in the top 20. The midweek’s highest climber comes from Christina Perri’s Jar of Hearts – which ascends 17 – 5 in the midweeks – thanks to a live performance on Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend. Meanwhile, The Saturday’s My Hear t Takes Over, and Flo Rida also look set to enter the Top 10, a nine and eight respectively. Albums Snow Patrol’s sixth record Fallen Empires is currently leading the battle to top the UK albums chart, as One Direction’s third single Gotta Be You looks to debut at number one on Sunday. Despite the success of the band since the 2006 release of single, Chasing Cars, Snow Patrol have yet to have an album debut at number one, however the Northern Irish/ Scottish group face tough competition from Epic-signed JLS’ third album, which is currently less than 200 units behind at number two in the OCC mid-week charts. Last week’s number one album, Susan Boyle’s Someone To Watch Over Me meanwhile, has dropped to number six in the midweeks – with Michael Bublé’s Christmas, Florence + The Machine’s Ceremonials and Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto in third, fourth and fifth place respectively. In a week of new entries, Mercury’s Pixie Lott’s third XX album Young, Foolish, Happy, Drakes’ Take Care, REM’s Best of, Andrea Bocelli – Concerto, One Night In Central Park and Band of HM Royal Marine’s Summon The Heroes all looks set to enter in the top 20. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Top 40 Only Singles 1 One Direction (400 copies ahead) 2 Rihanna/Calvin Harris 3 Labrinth/Tinie Tempah 4 Ed Sheeran 5 Christina Perri Top 10 9 The Saturdays 10 Flo Rida Top 15 15 Westlife Top 20 Coldplay Top 30 One Direction [WMYB] 26 Lady Gaga [TEOG] 27 Jessie J [WYA] Goo Goo Dolls Top 40 33 Collective 37 One Direction [Another World] Westlife [Poets Heart] 39 Lady Gaga [MTN] Bruno Mars [RB] ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Snow Patrol 2 JLS (less than 200 units behind) 3 Michael Buble 4 Florence + The Machine 5 Coldplay Top 10 8 Adele Top 15 13 Pixie Lott 15 Drake Top 20 Andrea Bocelli 19 REM Band of HM Royal Marines Top 30 21 Christina Perri 24 Jessie J Andrew Lloyd Webber Top 40 Who NO SALES INFO ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ARTIST UPDATES Singles JLS 3+3 Maroon 5 5+6 Cher Lloyd 7+7 Pixie Lott 10+9 Kelly Clarkson 10+10 Wanted 20+2 Ed Sheeran [TAT] 28+2 Adele [sFTTR], 30+6 Albums Cher Lloyd 4+3 Wanted 5+4 Ed Sheeran 5+5 Lady Gaga 10+8 Rihanna 20+5 Adele [19] 20+6 Prof. Green 22+8 Matt Cardle 30+2 Will Young 30+4 James Morrison 30+5 Kelly Clarkson 30+7 Steps 30+8

November 15, 201114 yr Author PLEASE READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING [01] Any member that is caught spamming, or trying to cause an argument to get a reaction will be severely warned with a ban for 7 days from posting on the forum. [02] This is a mid thread for every artist do not go on and on and on about a certain artist to bring the board into disrepute. [03] Please be patient when you are asking for a request, as you might not get an answer straight away. [04] Any member asking for information that isn't in the updates we don't have, always read the topic before you post, I do not want to see questions like Where is Britney? repeated several times on every page of the thread, once is enough, bookmark the page if you don't have time to read all of the topic. Its not that hard. [05] Do not use BLOCK CAPITALS when posting a sentence its considered as shouting and rude. [06] Do not use Text Talk. [07] Do not use a light colour font when posting please its hard to read the topic, not everyone has 100% vision. [08] Please give a mention to who posted the chart info or the site name where you seen the mid info if you are copying and posting the chart info elsewhere, it takes forever trying to re-edit all the information up for you to see. [09] Please do not post lists, or sales info unless you are told to by myself or a chart mod, if you do have sales info that you wish to share round them off to the nearest thousand and name your source, do not post precise sales figures. [10] Regarding chart positions when posted when you see a sum/subtraction for example 22+4, 40-7, if you add/subtract both figures together it gives you the actual position for the track. Its just simple addition or subtraction. Go Figure.
November 15, 201114 yr I'mma just pray to baby jesus that The Saturdays can somehow manage to go Top 10 this week :(
November 15, 201114 yr Will probably be the same pattern as the last few weeks, with the wanted, cher and jls. Although I guess they could be helped with CIN on friday to stop the drop off
November 15, 201114 yr Bit of a disaster for The Saturdays & Westlife! Rather shocked @ Westlife it's one of their best songs in a very long time.
November 15, 201114 yr Was Flo Rida's itunes climb only very recent? Weird he is now 2 on itunes but only 10 in the first update, also the Sats in the top 10 ABOVE Flo? It's all a bit strange though I guess physical CDs for the Sats n 1D are having a big say
November 15, 201114 yr Author Was Flo Rida's itunes climb only very recent? Weird he is now 2 on itunes but only 10 in the first update, also the Sats in the top 10 ABOVE Flo? It's all a bit strange though I guess physical CDs for the Sats n 1D are having a big say I think the sudden surge for Flo Rida happened after the cut off point after midnight, hence why charted lower down.
November 15, 201114 yr Thought Westlife would be higher with all the publicity they've had with their split n everything
November 15, 201114 yr Flo slowly climbed up throughout Sunday and only went Top 10 yesterday, so no doubt it will shoot up and hopefully knock JOH out of the Top 5. I'm hoping Snow Patrol can go Top 40 tomorrow too. 1D will obviously slip down by the end of the week if not tomorrow.
November 15, 201114 yr I think the sudden surge for Flo Rida happened after the cut off point after midnight, hence why charted lower down. Ah thought that must be the case, seems to have come from nowhere didn't know he had one out and certainly not heard it!
November 15, 201114 yr Thought Westlife would be higher with all the publicity they've had with their split n everything They have had a price reduction to 79p on itunes I notice this morning, so maybe that'll help them a little
