Emmerdale had an interesting way of filming tonight - it seemed to jump to time quite quickly from scene to scene at times but it still worked well.

I particularly liked Chas tonight and I liked how Katie's death is going to develop Belle's storyline.

I thought the acting from most in Emmerdale tonight was fabulous. Lucy Pargetter really was realistic (and actually looked and sounded like a drunk person crying and trying to get the words out). Ryan Hawley, Kelvin Fletcher and Danny Miller were particularly good as well.

Kate Oates, the exc. producer, comes across as a really kind and caring person so I can tell she and her team would take interest in and care for all their cast.

Alicia's sexual assault has been really well handled so far and I think it's a shame people have been criticising it for "discouraging sexual abuse victims from stepping forward". The storyline is depicting what it can be like in the real world and, as always with similar storylines, is designed to change people's perceptions (i.e people with Georgia's attitude).

I've missed several episodes and am catching a load up all at once. Emmerdale is bloody brilliant at the moment - especially this Alicia / Lachlan SL.

Its just so sad that Emmerdale gets overlooked when it comes to awards when up against the two big (but as far as I'm concerned - far inferior) soaps.

And again - another excellent episode of Emmerdale. All concerned in this Alicia / Lachlan SL have done brilliantly. I think the young lad that plays Lachlan is a real talent.

Couldn't agree more. Sensitive storyline handled really well with exceptional acting from Lachlan and Alicia.

Alicia is a fantastic actress, she always delivers her scenes with such emotion and sincerity and is award worthy.
That was a brilliant slap-and-a-half that the floozie gave Marlon!

I found it hilarious how Marloon had to get an ice-pack, what a woman!

Love this show right now, needs more crazy Emma though!

Emmerdale is easily the best soap at the moment (I've even got my sister watching regularly now she's normally an avid EE fan but she says its been a bit lacking lately - I can't say one way or the other as I don't watch it). Shame Emmerdale misses out when it comes to awards time.

Emmerdale has been the most consistent over the past couple of years - a consistently good quality at that. Eastenders was bad in 2013 and got better and better (admittedly it has been lacking since the 30th anniversary), Corrie has been pretty bad yet somehow got worse and Hollyoaks was great in 2013 before getting worse than you could ever imagine!

It's a shame that Alicia's storyline is going to go undeservedly unrecognised at the BSA - that should have been nominated for Best Storyline and Donna's demise be switched to Best Single Episode. There is Best Actress and Best Dramatic Performance for Alicia/Natalie but I can see Eastenders scooping both.

Natalie Anderson (Alicia)

is leaving at the end of the year when her contract runs out :(

^I was looking through the comments on DigitialSpy about that for suggestions as to how

she'll

leave. They can't split

her and David

up because they've got too strong a chemistry for that and I can't see them killing

her

off.
