I wouldn't say Emmerdale is as consistently good as Enders but it is on good form and at least 50% of that is down to the incredible Charity. Her remark about it being a good job she was drunk because if she were sober she might just have to put a gun to her head was so funny. The Dingles are such hypocrites! I guess they've forgotten all about how Chas shagged Cameron, and Zak attacked Cain, and Debbie initiated herself into the Yorkshire mafia, each of whom was then expelled from the family by Zak or Lisa only to be welcomed back in a week later...

The Dingle hypocrisy goes back much further than that. I'm older - I can remember even more dastardly things that have been done.

I love Charity even more! I don't think she was tough enough on the blackmailing bint though!

Agreed. When Charity let her go in that random field I was all "NO, TORMENT HER MORE!" :(

Is Belle suffering from a mental illness, do we think? Was a shocking scene to see her with scratches all over herself, presumably done by herself. :(

Katie

is leaving early next year :D good riddance.

This Aaron and Robert storyline is interesting, i feel it could develop well.

I'm also tiring of the belle storyline,I am interested in the lochlin back story, its becoming clear katie will discover Robert and Aarons affair and I think this will end with her exit.
I think the Belle storyline is fantastic actually, it would feel wrong if they ended it too quickly. Eden Taylor-Draper is a fantastic actress and deserves some awards for this.
Eden Taylor-Draper is a brilliant actress but I don't think they're writing it properly. I know it's probably more realistic as it is with belle refusing help repeatedly but it's a bit stale tbh, they can do so much more!

Gemma Atkinson (Lisa Hunter from Hollyoaks and she's recently been in Casualty) has been cast as Bob's daughter Carly :D I love her, brilliant casting choice!

What's funny is that she'll be playing Jamie Hope's brother, and his character Lee in Hollyoaks was Lisa's brother

That twist in Emmerdale last night was brilliant. It said in the paper that there would be one - but I wasn't expecting that.
It was fantastic, I never even thought that they might do a twist like that, will be VERY interesting to see how it progresses now and what Jai decides to do with "Archie"!

Don't you mean 'faux' Archie? This is getting a bit like Revenge!

I loved the twist too! Emmerdale has been on top form for a few years now - was certainly the best soap in 2013. The exc producer Kate Oates has a good direction of where she wants to take the show and has come up with some great, fresh ideas for storylines.

I've read that the actress who plays Charity is EIGHT months pregnant and had to keep it secret so not to give away the verdict of the trial. She was 3 months gone when filming the Delcan/Charity cottage scenes. If I was wearing one, I'd take my hat off to her!
