Nineties pop favourites Steps could be set to reunite, after singer Faye Tozer hinted that she and her ex-bandmates have considered a comeback.

 

Steps enjoyed a string of number one hits during the mid to late nineties gaining worldwide recognition.

 

However, since the split band members Claire Richards, Ian 'H' Watkins, Lee Latchford-Evans and Lisa Scott-Lee have faded into relative obscurity.

 

And now, Tozer has suggested that the band could follow in the footsteps of groups such asTake That and All Saints by making a return.

 

Tozer remarked: "The record companies have been asking us for years. But because we are all busy, it hasn't happened.

 

"We meet up regularly and the connection between us is still thriving.

 

"I think we will come around to reforming at some stage, but it will happen when everyone has time."

 

Any Comments - Is this good or bad news?

In all honesty, I'd say it's a complete lie - Faye is starting a solo career (tracks have just leaked) and Lee is doing Totally Boyband in Oct, so I doubt it's true...

I hate to be pedantic but Steps had TWO #1s, not a string -_-

 

And I would really like this to happen, but if it did it wouldn't work - same as the other nineties pop acts won't work in today's music scene. I don't think they'd risk coming back for one big hit and then major flopdom :(

Faye's been recording and tracks have been leaking for years now! She did say when they all had time they'd consider a comeback, so maybe when Lee has finished doing Totally Boyband. Also, the press arnt allowed to make up quotes are they?...

Considering Lee is doing Totally Boyband I doubt this'll happen any time soon but this is one of the 90's bands I WOULDN'T want to see back. -_-

:o How can they say such a travesty? 'Electric' went to number one across the world, went multi-platinum and was nominated for Best Song of the Year! Obscurity, ha!

I liked them as a kid and still like them out of nostalgia, but they should remain a thing of the past. For a start, they wouldn't work in today's climate and would flop.

Oh yes. I knew this day would come!

I love Steps - always will but please no comeback. It just wouldn't work and they should save Lisa in particular anymore humiliation :(

i heard this about a year ago and nothing came of itand i cant see anything coming of it now either,they dont really get on in th ereal world anymore,and im not sure if they would do aswell in this era as they did before

 

they did what they did great at the time but they should leave it that way,im sure this would all be lisa scott lees idea as she is desperate to be back in the music world again

Claire and Faye evidently had talent - so i dont know how you can say that.
