WE'RE NOT RACIST WE ONLY HATE MANCS :D

Seriously though, while Carroll has been poor and got a flack for his price tag, what about de Gea? The guy is a liability. Good reflex saves, but everything else is just lacking. OK the atmosphere might have put him off, but for £20m you would expect a lot more.

I do think the fans were alright today, Evra got booed everytime he touched the ball but to be fair he's been booed everytime he's touched the ball at Anfield for about 4 seasons, there was the picture of the one fan pretending to be a monkey that was disgusting but there's always going to be a small minority.

De Gea was dreadful today. I know he's only young but at least with a striker like Carroll or Torres failing to score they can at least justify their selection in other areas. It's much hard for a keeper who makes so many errors, the one where he carried the cross out was terrible, so simple. I also don't get why the majority of criticism for the winner has been aimed at Evra. De Gea should've got closer to him and Smalling was playing Kuyt onside. If he'd have been up with Evra he'd have been 3 or 4 years off, why is that the fault of Evra?

Don't like to see that, but it's a minority. 3 Man Utd fans were arrested for spitting on the Hillsborough Memorial, so swings and roundabouts, but I wonder which will get more press coverage. But it's the minority, not the majority.

The criticism for Evra was his positioning. He should have know Carroll would probably win the header, but he got the wrong side of Kuyt. Perhaps he had confidence in his keeper, as he should have done better. It was near post and he should have stuck his foot out. I'm extatic with the result. I thought we'd get beat, and when I saw the teamsheet I was even more worried. We tried to soak up pressure and play on the counter-attack before the subs, but we just couldn't get the ball. Mainly because we don't have a holding player.

Peterborough have been awful for over a month now and are going down. Yay.

EDIT - Oh well, this is the FA Cup topic! My point still stands though =D

Fifth round draw:

Liverpool v Brighton

Everton v Blackpool or Sheffield Wednesday

Chelsea v Birmingham

Crawley Town v Stoke

Stevenage v Tottenham

Norwich v Leicester

Sunderland or Middlesbrough v Arsenal or Aston Villa

Millwall or Southampton v Bolton

Great draw for Stevenage. I know a few Stevenage fans and they're extatic. How many games are on TV this time, anyone know?

The only "upset" I can see in the next round is Southampton beating Bolton, assuming they get past Millwall first. Disappointed Liverpool / Chelsea / Spurs didn't get paired together, and keep knocking the big guns out.

Haha I was disappointed that Spurs/Arsenal/Chelsea didn't get paired with each other. On the plus side as a Liverpool fan I don't care who we play if we're at home. Infact the only team I fear at the moment is Spurs. Every team is going to make a big go of the FA Cup now.

In 1983 Brighton knocked Newcastle out of the Cup and also won at Anfield. They went on to reach the final :D (and be relegated :( )

I love when quirky things like this repeat themselves. Thankfully, I don't think they'll be relegated this season, there are too many terrible teams in the Championship for that to be a problem!

I really wanted at least one of Crawley/Brighton, Everton/Liverpool, Arsenal/Spurs and Millwall/Chelsea :(

5 on TV again.

Hope Liverpool vs Everton happens. Hopefully in the semi-finals.

The five on TV will be:

Steveange vs Spurs

Brighton vs Liverpool

Chelsea vs Birmingham

Crawley vs Stoke

Sunderland/Boro vs Arsenal

I really hadn't realised how poor De Gea was until Saturday. He had a decent game against us at Anfield earlier in the season, but this time some of the mistakes were ridiculous.. Passing the ball to Downing when under very little pressure, Failing to catch an easy shot so it drops out for a corner.. and the list goes on

I see the big teams have relatively easy draws, so they should all get through and then meet each other in the next round

Live games

Chelsea v Birmingham (Sat 18, 12.30) ESPN

Sunderland v Middlesbrough or Arsenal (Sat 18, 17.15) ITV

Crawley v Stoke (Sun 19, noon) ESPN

Stevenage v Tottenham (Sat 19, 14.00)

Liverpool v Brighton & Hove Albion (Sun 19, 16.30) ESPN

Im still hyped that Brighton beat Newcastle :yahoo: such a good game..Its kind of a shame that we have Liverpool in the next round, was hoping for a non premiership team..we could have gone further but hey bring on Liverpool

I think Sunderland could beat Arsenal after Arsenal's 4-0 defeat to AC Milan.

Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool should go through comfortably.

Although Crawley have a great chance against Stoke. Could go either way. What do people think?

Depends whether Stoke are up for it after the game against Valencia. Think Crawley have a good chance of an upset, but Stoke won't put out a weakened side.

Wow, how awful were Chelsea?

Totally dejected of confidence. Villas-Boas can't have much longer there. Personally I don't think the players are playing for him. It looks like the old-boys are running the show (Drogba, Terry, Lampard) and evidently not doing a very good job of it. Some of their recent signings are really struggling (Cahill, Luiz, Merlies, Lukaku). Torres looks totally abject. Mata/Sturridge seem to rescue everything for them at the moment. They really do look terrible. Sacking Ancelotti was the worst thing Chelsea have ever done.
