4th place to 19th? Seriously?! :drama:

I haven't had a clue what to send since Red Hot. Vaporous was a long overdue backup that I finally used and I sort of stumbled across the Adaline song, even though it's from 2008 and I don't generally send songs that old :lol:

 

Definitely hoping to find some inspiration for XLI!

Amusingly coincidentally Loreen was also the last time I knew what to send! After sending Panic I spent most of the year waiting for Sober to leak (although I sort of half-knew to send Drama, I'd just known it for a while already and passed it over without thinking, but it seemed really obvious to send it after actually going back to it and thinking on it properly :lol:)

Good LORD at my result + Skall's in the semi. Definitely a case of wrong semi going there - although impressive for Skall to go from last in the semi to 9th overall :o

Skall qualifying by 2 points, and going 9th was quite the turn around!

 

To top it off, if I hadn't of accepted Tinnmark's votes that were slightly late - Skall wouldn't have even qualified! :o

I was thinking (especially after vastly preferring SF1 to my own, but with results like Skall's it's clear it's a potential issue) - there really DOES need to be some sort of measure to mitigate the phenomenon of 'wrong semi'. One Big Final had its problems, but there could definitely be a way around it - optional voting in the other semi? Sure, it might make for some disparities, but that could be stopped by having a voting pair and making sure there's someone else who votes from the other semi - or would it even be an issue if there were disparities between number of voters in each semi?

Interesting to see Skall just scrape through. It was easily my fave track from SF2. Skall owe a lot to Tinnmark. :lol:

I mentioned this last month when Amatorski 'Soldier' was blatently put in the wrong semi final. Everyone who had said how much they liked the song ended up in the opposite semi final to me, so natually I DNQ.

 

It even made #10 in Dandy's chart!!! Yes, this fact is important. :D It wouldn't have won but I reckon there were a good 60 points I would've collected last month. :(

We break ties in Semis by the number of 12's, 10's, etc. first.

I knew I only made it through because B.a.n.G and Fanadminaj didn't vote :P but I got fewer votes in the final than the semis which isn't pleasant :(

Only for qualification tiebreak purposes (as out of two tracks on the edge, if one receives higher scores it's probably more likely to do well in the final), other than that 'more voters' would indicate which track is genuinely more popular.

Hope it's been a decent contest for you, I know there was a few mistakes during the results, but I feel this is the best I've done hosting.

 

Well done to Greenfroze, not that amazing to me, but I'd say it was in my Top 15, so not a bad winner by any means! Disappointed with Hendinia's end to the year, but oh well, got a win which I didn't see coming either! :lol:
