Why does she have to do things like this? She tries to cater to a younger audience but it just comes across as desperate. She can carry an album/single/Superbowl performance on her own name, she's been doing it for 30 years now!!

Celine Dion tweets

"I'm not going to be performing at the Super Bowl because I'm pretty booked, I'm in Las Vegas right now at Caesars Palace doing a lot of shows so I won't be at the Super Bowl."

"But I love Madonna and know her well," she continued. "I know she'll do just fine, she doesn't need any luck. She's going to do her thing, she's going to do what she does best, she's going to give us something for us to remember. She's going to be great, just fine."

That was nice of Celine, but was she rumoured to be performing? I know Kelly Clarkson is rumoured to be performing the national anthem.

I think Kelly Clarkson has been officially confirmed to do that.

As for Celine she has some brilliant songs

I like Kelly, so looking forward to that as well. I also agree, Celine as a Legend. It just seemed an odd comment to make initially. The statement was very complimentary though.

I know very random for Celine!. Maybe they are friends or something as Celine said she knew her very well.
It was a bit random and I also sensed that Celine somehow knows Madonna from that statement. To be fair, I cant honestly remember Celine ever saying anything negative about anyone ever. She is a class act.
Celine Dion is one sandwich short of a picnic  but is such a lovely lady, she seems to like most people.

Yes, I'm going to the Super Bowl... I'm gonna be performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj... If you're gonna go to the Super Bowl, you might as well go with America's biggest female icons."

M.I.A., confirming that she will be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show together with Madonna and Nicki Minaj during an interview with BBC Radio 1.

As musicians, were two women and we represent two opposite sides of the world," she continued, on the Madonna collaboration. "If we can come together on a piece of music or something like the Super Bowl, I feel like thats actually a cool thing to see this year because its getting silly out there.

Madonna will kick off the show with "Vogue" before showcasing her new dance song "Give Me All Your Luvin'" - the first single from her upcoming album, MDNA.

The third song is believed to be a mash-up of "Holiday" and "Ray of Light".
