Doing a duet with Gary Barlow is not going to do Marcus any harm at all.

Oh I actually like that idea, but could they really not get anyone better ?

Barlow has apparently announce he'll be singing 'She's Always A Woman' with Marcus.

Have they run out of money already. Why can they not get decent guests this year. Marcus is screwed if he is singing "Always a Woman" the song is even more boring than "Run For your Life", what is wrong with Gary.

Amelia and Kelly better bring it Alex and Beyonce style and put everyone else to shame. Hope Amelia wins HMV or not.

They've either spunked all their budget on Coldplay, or are wanting to emulate The Voice.

I've seen Tulisa sing live a few times and I've always been impressed, so I don't understand this myth that she can't sing.. but I agree that if it does come down to the duets, they probably won't win mainly because Kelly and Gary are more well known

Surely JLS & 1D's album and singles not doing as well as expected are an indicator to show viewers are bored of boybands?!

There's more important things called 'albums' where they've both done pretty well ;)

 

Actually they've both done pretty well in the albums, both doing better than Rebecca and Leona too it seems (hence why her album was delayed as she's still portrayed as the X Factor's 'golden goose') surely that's an indication they're both of female artists too? And the Saturdays not doing so well in both charts means they're bored of girl groups? The majority of the time the biggest sales boost come from the grannies and the kids hence why its crap like Buble and Westlife. :( If Adele was well enough it would have been much better having her AND Coldplay on.

 

For the moment I still think Marcus is gonna win but I really want Little Mix to do it.

I want Amelia to win but Marcus has it is the bag. It is very sad how the female voters are so swayed by looks and who they fancy. It still has not sunk in to some of them that they have no chance.

If the mentor thing is going to stop anyone winning, surely it'll be Amelia? If Kelly performs to the standard that she did last weekend..

 

I do like the idea even if it may seem a little 'cheap'. Do we still not know the winners single? I read somewhere yesterday that there was supposed to be a press conference today announcing all the details.

Is anyone going to the final? I got tickets for Sunday but I don't know if to bother because I can imagine the X Factor loons will be lined up from the morning.

If anything I think it'll be Amelia who's screwed over having to perform live with Kelly. Kelly is dire live.

The Sun also reports that as well as the contestants duets they are also planning the DUET TO END ALL DUETS (in that it will probably crash Twitter)

I did ponder about the finalists performing with their mentors. I mean all three have a back catalogue of hits, though when I contemplated it, it did strike me as the perfect car crash to end such a wreckage of a series :heehee: I'm guessing that 1D and JLS wouldn't work as duet partners, Coldplay probably only agreed to perform based on the cheque and the fact that they wouldn't be reduced to such disgraceful antics and Westlife and Buble have been tried and tested (and awfully dull).

 

I still think the finalist should sing one of their mentor's songs WITH their mentor. Though I can't imagine any N Dubz song being suitable for LM. :heehee:

Can't imagine Gary wants Marcus to win if that's what they're performing. Any popular Take That song would have given a much bigger advantage.

I actually LIKE the idea of the contestants performing with their mentors. It's a nice touch and they've been sitting there judging for the entire series when they're all good vocalists, so why not get up and show them how it's done? (Not that I expect Tulisa or Kelly to better Little Mix or Amelia...)

 

It does seem a bit cheap but I think they're making good use of a panel who can actually sing.

 

It makes the boring JLS/One Direction/Westlife/Leona appearances a bit pointless though, if none of them are involved in the show directly.

Hmmm would of liked them to perform with other singers on the duets.
