Brilliant to see The Pogues top 20, can I have their exact position please?

The Pogues are on top of Mariah, actually what a horrible thought -_-

Anyhow 12+6

P.S. I love reading your midweek ramblings :D

Kelly Rowland's new album really does deserve to be higher, it's much better and dirtier than I expected! ^_^
Take That will now struggle to stay top 20, I was secretly hoping a steady top 15 placement for them this week.

With all the Joe McElderry talk here on the site I had thought he would increase this week or remain steady but he has suffered a huge decrease loookig at this update.

Absolutely right: Joe has in fact reverted exactly to form. His 1st album debuted at No 3 with 39,400 sales then dropped to No 20 in its 2nd week. Ambitions (his 1st single from the album) went almost the same way: from 6 to 21, exactly the same drop in chart places Joe has shown now. The only difference is that Joe is much lower in the charts because of the large number of sales last week. If things go to type, he will be out of the top 40 next week. In any event, the album will disappear after Christmas.

There is a law of nature which covers this (reversion to the mean) so it it may be shocking for his fans but it's not surprising. Needless to say, Simon Cowell is left looking good, as all Joe's fans blamed him for Joe flopping before. Incidentally, Classic Christmas has had much wider TV coverage than Joe's 1st album: you can tell when a Joe McElderry ad has been aired as Twitter is full of extremely negative comments, a lot of them homophobic. I'm no fan of Joe (ahem) but often a majority of the comments are so extreme that even I won't retweet them.

Well your post is a load of tripe but I think you're really onto something here

Matt Cardle released a single this week. Anybody know how he's doing please?

Where is The Feeling's Greatest Hits?

Adele's "21" looking good for 46 consecutive weeks in the Top 10!

Does anyone know the last album to spend 46 consecutive weeks in the Top 10?

Amazon are also selling limited stock for £3.50 as part of their cyber Monday promotion

Are you sure? It's not very high on itunes.

there is no single version released, just the Alias remixes (which are surprisingly good considering I generally hate dance music) so presumably the chart position is a combination of people downloading the song from the album plus the remixes. I'm surprised it is charting though - if indeed it is

also most people seem to be downloading it from amazon as it is easier to find there

Coldplay album is still top 10?

they have a concert (that they filmed today) in radio 2 in December 15th... I think this could push the album sales a lot with this week X factor show!

Apparently they're on Graham Norton this week too. Good promotion, should see the album sail past double platinum at least by the end of the year and I still have hope that it could possibly be another million seller for them if 'Princess Of China' is released 4th and becomes a hit.

Hopefully Coldplay can sell well over 100k next week after their X Factor performance, I don't see any reason why they couldn't. 200k might be possible given Rihanna's boost last year.
Wait, wasn't Glee volume 7 released this week? It's not even top 40 after volumes 1 to 6 all made the top 10 (and all but one top 5) I am greatly enjoying this downfall.

Woooo Rebecca! Amazing. And Amazing Album. My album of the year. Wasnt sure if anything could beat Ceremonials. Hopefully it will be a big seller into the new year.
