I'm amazed at Rebecca, never thought get that far, it should certainly fly over 100k.
Michel Buble now over 600K then - would love this to reach a million before the end of the year

Black Keys doing very well given that 30 Seconds to Mars could only get to #31 in December off the back of "Kings and Queens". Any top 40 position would be an achievement really.

I know I must come across as a broken record but Noel is just doing insanely well... "Dig Out Your Soul" dropped out of the top 40 after seven weeks, so for him to be climbing now is superb. I had a feeling it'd be a big Christmas seller, mostly for the dads I guess

After Bubles x-factor performance he could sell 200k next week or more - could make a million in next 2 weeks!!

Noel Is doing very well! His sales seem to be very consistent. I don't think it will match Dig out your souls end of year sales of 506k.. for overall sales it's possible (dig out your soul has done 610k).

Im hoping for 450k by the end of year and at least another 100k next for Noel.

according to OCC facebook, Olly is number 1, and is 775 copies ahead of XFF

That's much better for Olly than I expected, if that's true I can see him getting number 1 now. His sales yesterday beat XF by almost 1800, 600 the day before, 200 the day before that. At this rate it won't even be that tight when Saturday's physicals come into play.

I don't think XFF physicals are going to do that much tomorrow, the final is not on until 8pm tomorrow. I think Olly will benefit more as he is co-presenting on the Xtra Factor

I agree, they could catch todays lead but tommorrows lead? I doubt it. Olly could be as much as 3000 ahead. The XF single has to recoveer to start selling at the same level as Olly before it can start to make the lead back, the physicals could do that but it's a big ask to do more. Plus Olly is on the main show chatting to the crowd with Caroline I think? Good exposure that could push him over the top if needed. All that said, it's definately not over but it's looking good for Olly.

It's possible he might at least meet Dig Out Your Soul

He'll probably be getting above 40K this week which will bring his total up to 390K and then he still has 3 more weeks of charting.

I think he'll probably end up pretty close. And Dig Out Your Soul even had an extra week of charting.

Lloyd dropping to #4? I think that pretty much seals the deal for Olly then. As expected with XFF holding #1 for 3 days then being dethroned on Friday :P

Olly is certainly the first XF artist (bar Steve and Joe) to climb to #1, dunno about reality show artists in general but it seems quite likely.

T-Pain not climbing up the mids as quickly as I expected, he could have to settle for a #6 debut but I think he'll climb next week.

Coldplay still holding on at #10 and Mariah hasn't climbed from yesterday. Good to see. I thought the Christmas songs had stalled on iTunes but they're now climbing again and Mariah is nearing the top 10 :( On the upside the #10 on iTunes is currently Jessie and AIWFCIY is far preferable to WYA. But I'd much, much rather neither were there.

Nice climbs for Wizzard, Slade and Band Aid today - Slade look set to comfortably beat their Christmas peak of 2009 (#35) this week as well as their 2010 peak :D I thought Shakin' Stevens would show up today but I'm sure he'll make it by Sunday anyway. The Pogues are as high as #12 combined on iTunes now so hopefully they'll finish the week higher than #17.

Amy has averaged 25,457 sales per day from Tuesday to Thursday (ignoring Monday because it has all her pre-orders and whatnot). She needs 56,197 more sales on Friday and Saturday to reach 200k, so as long as her sales go up a bit for these two days (which they should do) she should manage it :D Could be a close call between her and Adele for the year's 4th highest one-week sales (or 3rd highest first-week sales).

Rebecca's sales :drama: She's already surpassed Matt's first week sales by quite a bit and she could nearly double them at this rate...

Maybe clutching at straws here but could XF Finalists reclaim the top spot by Sunday due to the huge coverage of the final on Saturday night?
Is 21 still 5 + 1?

If you didn't know this forum, the above would look very strange. :w00t:

No - it's been their physical sales propping them up all week, and they won't be added to that late in the evening.

hmmm... Final from 8pm will people go out and buy the single after the show I highly doubt it, as most shops will be closed apart from Supermarkets that are open 24hrs a day will they bother to go out and pick up a single. I don't think many people do their shopping at that time of the evening especially on a Saturday

No - it's been their physical sales propping them up all week, and they won't be added to that late in the evening.

That's not the point - their physical sales compared to their downloads has been about 1:1 all week if the iTunes bars and the Music Week sales flashes are anything to go by.

Their iTunes bar is currently less than half of Olly's, but on Saturday evening that will close dramatically (as it did last week) and probably be as much as 75% of Olly's. At the same time, their physicals sold during the day will have jumped by a corresponding amount, so instead of selling e.g. 90% of Olly, they could easily be selling as much as 150% of Olly, which could reverse the (bigger) lead that Olly opens up today.

I think Olly is the favourite given as BuzzLightYear says below he's already opened up a 775 copy lead which could be as much as 3k going into tomorrow. But if Olly sells 10k tomorrow and XFF do overturn that by 50%, then they'd more than reverse Olly's lead easily.

XFF have no chance of #1 at all. Olly is only going to extend his lead. XFF are all the way down to #18 on iTunes now.

Well I guess its good that there's an exciting race for #1 in the singles. Just a pity I don't like any of the songs vying for it. How many copies of Rihanna would I have to buy to get her back at #1 then

I thought Beyonce and Justin Bieber would be higher with their respective releases given he had an XF performance and she had a TV special. Mind you I still havent bought Beyonce's latest album as I havent liked anything I've heard from it much. Quite like her as a rule.

Beyoncé didn't perform 'Love On Top' on her TV special (unless you're talking about her album).

Yeah I meant the album just scraping Top30 I thought given that exposure it would be higher. She is quite something as a performer.

Olly is on 80%ish, XFF on 30%. So Olly is x2.7 XFF on iTunes yet is only selling 1.5k more per day. XFF are certain to sell more physicals tomorrow and their iTunes bar is certain to climb more than Olly's tomorrow as well.

I wouldn't say XFF have no chance. Olly is the favourite, but I wouldn't rule XFF out completely.
