December 11, 201113 yr Albums Michael Bublé 'Christmas' Was an early Xmas present for my mum. I might buy Leona's EP too if I ever get money in my bank.
December 12, 201113 yr I might buy Cannonball, it sounded like a really good version based on the live performance. Is the studio version the same arrangement as their performance?
December 12, 201113 yr Author I might buy Cannonball, it sounded like a really good version based on the live performance. Is the studio version the same arrangement as their performance? Exactly the same, acapella intro, solo verses and group harmonies on the chorus followed by key change/gospel choir towards the end.
December 12, 201113 yr Exactly the same, acapella intro, solo verses and group harmonies on the chorus followed by key change/gospel choir towards the end. Good :D It could do without the pointless key change but the same can be said for Matt's WWC which I also liked a lot.
December 12, 201113 yr Downloads Little Mix "Cannonball" - bought it an hour ago and I've listened to nothing but this since I bought it :D Giving it it's 13th play on my iPod as I type
December 12, 201113 yr Author Good :D It could do without the pointless key change but the same can be said for Matt's WWC which I also liked a lot. I agree, but that's X Factor for you  How else would they know where to insert the 'Dermot announces Little Mix as the winners' into the music video if the key change wasn't there? These singles are so cliched and always follow the same structure, and as much as I do enjoy it, hopefully their second single will be something fresh, original and uptempo. I can't think of any other girl group that have ever launched their career with a ballad :o
December 12, 201113 yr Albums: Nightwish - Imaginaerum Jessie J - Who You Are (Platinum edition) and probably my Dad's X-mas present, if I ever find out what the hell he wants.
December 13, 201113 yr I'm surprised so many of you are admitting jumping on the XF bandwagon. ;) You do know that if Cowell also tells you to jump off a bridge, you don't have to do it...
December 13, 201113 yr I'm surprised so many of you are admitting jumping on the XF bandwagon. ;) How do you know they are? They may genuinely like the song? B-)
December 13, 201113 yr How do you know they are? They may genuinely like the song? B-) Then they could have bought the Damien Rice one at any time... :P Edited December 13, 201113 yr by vidcapper
December 13, 201113 yr How do you know they are? They may genuinely like the song? B-) Yes I do genuinely like it, I'm sure many other people do as it's one of the better winners singles done by an act that can have further success in the charts Then they could have bought the Damien Rice one at any time... :P I already have the Damien Rice version  It was on some random BRITS compilation in 2004 (the album version, I don't like the remix)
December 13, 201113 yr Then they could have bought the Damien Rice one at any time... :P This logic is INCREDIBLY flawed. Yes they could have, but they could only have bought the Little Mix version in the last 32 hours or so.
December 13, 201113 yr Author Then they could have bought the Damien Rice one at any time... :P I did buy the Damien Rice one...but that's beside the point, people are allowed to like covers regardless of whether they liked the original or not. You could have bought all of the original's of the songs on the Birdy album at any time, you didn't because they weren't to your personal taste so I'm failing to see the difference here  You're always going to be lining somebody's pockets if you purchase a song that you like, whether it's Simon Cowell or the head of any other record company makes no difference whatsoever.
December 13, 201113 yr You could have bought all of the original's of the songs on the Birdy album at any time, you didn't because they weren't to your personal taste so I'm failing to see the difference here  Ha! I was going to make the same point. Seems a bit of an odd statement to make when he's said how fantastic Birdy is! Could've just purchased the originals, they are afterall, much better and more beautiful. :D
