Voted of 'Moves Like Jagger' in the first poll and all them (including "other") in the second.

Oh, and MLJ is definitely NOT club banger.

Then I'm confused as to how 'club banger' is defined?

To me, it just means a popular dance song.

A club banger is a song specifically designed for drunk people in clubs. Hence why the lyrics of club bangers are usually awful.

Looks like some of the biggest gains have come from songs already in the top 10 - Paradise, Good Feeling and Lego House dominating the top 3 despite previously all being doubled (or near) by Military Wives!

Also getting big boosts are:

Dance With Me Tonight, Sexy And I Know It, Earthquake, We Found Love, Moves Like Jagger (not as much as I'd expected / feared though), Heart Skips A Beat, What Makes You Beautiful, Party Rock Anthem, Someone Like You (again not as much as I'd expected), The A Team, Set Fire To The Rain, Read All About It, Marry You, Jar Of Hearts, The Lazy Song, Rolling In The Deep, Best Thing I Never Had, for some reason When I Was A Youngster... I could go on but I'll stop there as they're the ones in the iTunes top 50.

Not making so much of an impression from the list in the poll are Price Tag, Give Me Everything, Grenade, On The Floor and Born This Way.

iTunes effect, updated for 2011 :

Pos 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 Average

1 to 5 -20% -19% -3% -2% -12% -11%

6 to 10 5% 40% 38% 16% 65% 33%

11 to 20 19% 46% 49% 30% 65% 42%

21-40 20% 53% 41% 21% 64% 40%

41-75 38% 55% 53% 33% 89% 54%

76-200 - - 58% 36% 86% 47%

Biggest effect ever, but might that be mostly to due with the ideal timing of Xmas day in 2011 - right at the start of the chart week?

I think Jessie J, Adele, Maroon 5/Christina, LMFAO, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran and Christina Perri will all receive boosts. As well as One Direction's 'That's What Makes You Beautiful' and Olly Murs' singles - mainly HSAB.

Looks like my outside prediction of Olly Murs was correct. :D

In terms of actual unit increase surely it would have been Paradise which went up 58k from the previous week? Percentage increase wise probably When I Was A Youngster, bizarrely enough.

Actually, it was The A Team, at least within the T75 - sales up by 260%.

Surely WIWAY increased by a lot more than that though? It just didn't chart the previous week.
