@1 - Indeed it's not! :D I've been such a fan of Donkeyboy since I first heard Ambitions and I do have their debut CD. If they continue on this City boy path, I will most likely buy the next album as well. This was so instant for me, I knew I loved it after hearing just half of that chorus! :wub:

 

@2 - Well I do! I must've overplayed it a bit as I haven't felt like listening to it for a while.. but two weeks top two in my chart is indeed remarkable. I love it when that happens :wub: Have they released a new single yet? :o If not, do you know when?

 

@9 - Thank you so much! Winning in the last contest of the year and getting a first place as my first top 5 placing ever is so perfect! :dance:

 

 

I made it a recommended track due to its unique nature and style, but I can understand that it might be an acquired taste. It won the Nation Song contest, though! :o

Yes, Thunder is my fave member from MBLAQ. What is there not to like about him? He's so silly and childish. I love cute acting K-Pop idols :lol:

10. I didn't know they were doing it for charity! That's good of them, really wish it had been bigger, wherever it was from... :unsure:. I think I notice similarities to Dreamer and 1000 Ships in Kirsty's vocals, more Dreamer than 1000 Ships, even though it sounds typically indie. And then the progression of the track seems to be in a similar rhythm to what Dreamer would be like if it had a bit of rapping over the top of it. It's a tenuous connection though. :lol:

15. Exactly. I don't think it'd be very successful now, and I don't think I'd send it unless I was really out of options, which... I'm not. I'd half expected it to appear in XXXIX though.

Although the production is totally different, and tempo and style works in other ways, there are rythmic and structural smiliarities. Somewhat tenuous at first, but still very well observed, I think! ^_^

@15 - It seems like people have a lot of choices for the next contest. Which I happen to be hosting :wub: So that certainly is a good sign when it comes to XLI's musical quality! :w00t:

Sort of, it's hard to explain.

 

It's exactly what I wanted but at the same time I think I was more into their 'sound' back in 2009 - I'd have loved it far more if they'd released it two years ago I think!

You're quite welcome. Both of your last two entries have been amazing. I also rather like Alice Svensson from the earlier contests this year. And Mimi Blix and Alex Winston too. You seem to keep sending really good entries, so do keep that up. :D

 

@15 - Well, that's good. I have about 7 choices and I'm still searching out more. I want to get a good result in the next one. ^_^

 

@1 - I'd only actually heard Ambitions before, so I was quite limited with them. I just went and checked out Sometimes, rather nice, if I can say so. Hopefully we get a similarly good Reject winner this year.

 

@4 - Hmm, let me see, I rather like Diddy Dirty Money - Coming Home, that has Skylar Grey on the chorus and it's rather epic. Oh, and Devlin's - Runaway, with Yasmin on chorus duties; she's quite similar to Emeli. Both of those are amazing songs. Read All About It is a strong entry for songs of its type though. It's definitely very different from Heaven, yes, which is quite refreshing, I think.

 

@12 - It is one of the most amazing climaxes I've heard this year. It took a few listens, but I was firmly in love with it after that.
