December 23, 201114 yr Author 205,834 :) Is that just random sales, as there hasn't been any sales information regarding albums, well I ain't seen any.
December 23, 201114 yr Michael Buble's Christmas has sold 205,834 units this week according to the latest Official Charts Company Midweek sales flash - over 50,000 weekly sales ahead of posthumous Amy Winehouse LP Lioness: Hidden Treasures. From the Music Week website, posted today. I can't get on the link because it keeps coming up with "page not found", even though it's top of the list on the news section  Edited December 23, 201114 yr by Oliver
December 23, 201114 yr Author Singles Military Wives on course to smash half-million sales milestone Source: MW 11:28 | Friday December 23, 2011 Decca told Music Week earlier this month that it had its fingers crossed The Military Wives single would hit the half million sales mark. And according to the latest Midweek sales flash data from the Official Charts Company, it's well on course. Friday's update, which takes into account sales to the end of Thursday, puts UK sales of Wherever You Are at a whopping 450,101, over fives times the total of Little Mix's Cannonball - which remains in the No.2 spot after shifting 87,793 units. Lou Monte's Dominick The Donkey is not far behind at No.3, with 67,600 sales, followed by Alex Day's Forever Yours with 44,844 sales. Coldplay's Paradise sits at No.5 with over 10,000 less weekly sales so far than Day. ================================= Albums Buble's Christmas comfortably ahead of Amy Winehouse's Lioness in race for festive No.1 album Source: MW 11:36 | Friday December 23, 2011 Michael Buble's Christmas has sold 205,834 units this week according to the latest Official Charts Company Midweek sales flash - over 50,000 weekly sales ahead of posthumous Amy Winehouse LP Lioness: Hidden Treasures. Today's (Friday) update - which takes into account UK sales up until the end of yesterday - has Winehouse's Lioness at No.2 with 147,920 sales. Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto is in No.3 with 113,010 sales, whilst Olly Murs In Case You Didn't Know is at No.4, after clocking up 109,556 sales so far this week. Rihanna's Talk That Talk, at No.5, has sold just over 90,000, followed by Adele's 21 at No.6, with 85,139 sales. ================================= Singles 1 Military Wives 450,101 2 Little Mix 87,793 3 Lou Monte 67,600 4 Alex Day 44,844 5 Coldplay 34,844 Albums 1 Michael Buble 205,834 2 Amy Winehouse 147,920 3 Coldplay 113,010 4 Olly Murs 109,556 5 Rihanna 90,000 6 Adele 85,139
December 23, 201114 yr The year TOTP book the X Factor winner is the year it isn't number one and will get nowhere near the top 10 best sellers. LOL
December 23, 201114 yr Oh, so Coldplay not quite at 35k then. Probably closer to 6k sales yesterday than 7k. (I wish they'd have given an exact total for it again instead of a vague 'more than 10,000 behind Alex Day'). In any case, I'm sure their sales will be higher than that for today and tomorrow. Great album sales for Coldplay :D Any chance of it actually increasing in sales week-on-week? It'd need to sell another 47,396+ in the last 2 days to do so, so 23,698 per day. Its average over the first 5 days over the week has been 22,602 per day so it only needs to increase that a bit. As for the rest of the albums top 5, Amy and Olly could both sell more than they did in their respective first weeks and Adele could do a good 120k+ :D Edited December 23, 201114 yr by Michael Bubré

December 23, 201114 yr I had a feeling Nirvana wouldn't get top 5. It seems to reek of in-house fighting now because people are buying more than others and feel that "if I buy 20 copies, everyone has to buy 20 copies".
December 23, 201114 yr Album Sales for xmas week last year 1 Take That 350,328 2 Rihanna 248,934 3 Michael Buble 165,031 4 Olly Murs 105,496 5 Michael Jackson 84,200 6 JLS 83,661 This year all top 6 (and maybe more) will be over 100K.!. Although the top 2 or 3 probably wont exceed last years. Edited December 23, 201114 yr by Olympus
December 23, 201114 yr Rihanna certainly hasnt sold as quickly as last year with her new album. I see a lot of the reviews are somewhat mixed too.
December 23, 201114 yr Thanks for the update (Susan Boyle 10+7) - happy to see she is holding that position. Wishing the Chart Mods a very happy Christmas.
December 23, 201114 yr The whole top 10 albums could clear 100k then, though last year had one less sales day.....Will Lou Monte reach 100k in the singles? I dont think so... Buble over 350k, Winehouse 200k!!
December 23, 201114 yr I wonder if OCC would be generous and do a Saturday update tomorrow, with the buzz surrounding the #1 Martin, The OCC told me, (this morning), that they only ever get Data sent to them on Tuesday's, Wednesday's, Thursday's, & Friday's. With the end of Week Charts sent in on a Sunday morning. There won't be a Christmas Eve/Saturday up-date. The Christmas No.1, (Military Wives, of course), will be announced at 3pm on Christmas Day/Sunday. Edited December 23, 201114 yr by zeus555
December 23, 201114 yr Rihanna & Calvin out of the top 10? :( Hopefully they'll sneak back in by Sunday (both them and Avicii could overtake Nirvana?)
December 23, 201114 yr Reviews are always mixed. 2 Rihanna 248,934 3 Michael Buble 165,031 4 Olly Murs 105,496 These three love christmas clearly  Edited December 23, 201114 yr by Karma
