December 23, 201114 yr The 'huge sales' only really applies to the top 2 or 3 singles, though... Is it not still on par with last year though? On the albums only the no2 wont sell as much as Lod did on Xmas week, but there should be more albums in the top 10 that sell over 100k albeit with an extra days sales! Was in HMV earlier and noticed Bubles album was up in price to 10.99, thatll help it fall next week, really looking forward until the first week of November 2012 to see how high the Christmas album can rise again, ithink it MIGHT challenge for No1 next christmas too - Crazy Love did and its also top 40 this year too!! December 24, 201114 yr As if the Military Wives' sales weren't stratospheric enough already, don't forget they're performing the song on Graham Norton's TV show on Friday night. Remember what it did for Coldplay! On top of that, the whole three-part series about the choir gets another airing tonight (Thu), edited together as one 90 minute programme. I wouldn't be surprised if some hmv stores run out of the single on Saturday! When I made that last comment in the early hours of Thursday, I wasn't entirely serious, but on the evidence of the two hmvs in Birmingham yesterday (Friday), it might actually be happening! The displays of Military Wives singles from earlier this week were gone, with just a small pile left on the desk in one shop. I'm wondering if they weren't able to press enough copies to keep up with demand? Does anyone know if the Military Wives have recorded a performance in the TOTP studio which will be edited into Sunday's programme? Or will we get the Albert Hall performance?

They were already being heavily tipped for the top by the time of the recording so I assume they will have got them into the studio if they were able to. Otherwise there's last night's Graham Norton performance as an alternative or an X Factor style montage of scenes from the series.

I think I'd prefer the Royal Albert Hall performance to be used rather than the Graham Norton one - Emily was great as the soloist last night, but it's the version with Sam that people are buying.
December 24, 201114 yr Try getting a Military Wives single in Croydon/Selsdon. Totally sold out. Plenty of Little Mix however.
December 25, 201114 yr Michael Buble's Crazy Love might be top 20 THREE years after its initial release and after selling almost three million. That's insane.
