Well, he did well with what he had to work with. Smart move on ditching Just The Way You Are. The beginning sounds amateur, too, but the chorus is tight.

I'd say 2009>2010>2011>2008>2007.

Thoughts?

I love how he manages to make 4 artists to sing one line

Pumped Up Kicks included

That's a really, really good mash-up imo! He did really well, and I think it's better than 2010's.

HOWEVER, I noticed he's abandoned the top 25 thing. I didn't see any of Just the Way You Are, Look At Me Now, What's My Name? or Down On Me, but I saw Till the World Ends, We Found Love and Sexy and I Know It, which didn't make the year-end top 25.

But I did say in another thread that it would be too difficult to mix Look At Me Now, Down On Me, etc. with all the club songs, since they're so different, which is probably why he excluded them and included other popular club songs instead. But I think he could've got acapella versions of the songs and put some of the rapping in it at least. I'm sure Busta Rhymes's verse is a similar tempo to all those club songs.

But I think it'll be a slippery slope, not in terms of the quality of the mash-up, because this year's was very good imo, but in terms of the songs included. Next year I'm sure he'll just be including songs that people ask him to include.

Down On Me was there, but only for like... a word or something

Oh. Well, at least he included it I guess.

It would've been good in the 2009 mash-up, since there's a lot of "down"s in that one.
