July 31, 201212 yr Apparently Parking Lot is going to be the second single in the US...when really it should be worldwide. Sounds amazingly catchy: http://music.aol.com/sessions/nelly-furtad...g-lot-sessions/ Sounds good, let's hope that this is as good as the album version!
July 31, 201212 yr What a stupid comment, I don't think barely anyone on this forum can even stand Pitbull. Its just a messy clunky song, for me it gets good on the second verse when it picks up and before you know it its slowed back down with some tacky cheering noise and the awful middle 8....theres plenty of reasons for people to hate it....dance beat and Pitbull aren't either. Yet a lotta you are looning over "Parking Lot", which sounds like a pretty conventional hit to me.
July 31, 201212 yr Yet a lotta you are looning over "Parking Lot", which sounds like a pretty conventional hit to me. Its catchy, I wouldn't say its necessarily conventional, and I wouldn't even say Spirit is unconventional...just a good song lost in bad production and a nasally voice. Whatever it is, it sounds much more promising for her as a single than anything else we've heard.
July 31, 201212 yr I definitely agree that 'Parking Lot' is a stronger song/single sounding track than 'The Spirit Indestructible'. It's pretty strong and has catchiness, funkiness. I do like 'The Spirit Indestrictible', but there's no way it sounds like a hit whatsoever.
August 3, 201212 yr Have we heard the studio version of Parking Lot? b3ETQJy_sAY WHY wasn't this the first single? That's huge.
August 3, 201212 yr The Spirit Indestructible just properly clicked with me, I think she's going down quite a similar path to Jessie Ware, Jess Mills etc, which is just Dandy*. Parking Lot sounds OK but I agree with whoever said it was kind of conventional.
August 4, 201212 yr Have we heard the studio version of Parking Lot? b3ETQJy_sAY WHY wasn't this the first single? That's huge. I don't think the studio version has leaked. The one on youtube was just a rip of the sessions performance. I am obsessed with it at the moment though. I don't think it will be a hit but it's still amazing. Edited August 4, 201212 yr by Ashley
August 4, 201212 yr Parking Lot sounds like the bigger hit, but I much prefer The Spirit Indestructible. PL is catchy but it's annoyingly so, I can see me going right off it if I listen to it too much.
August 6, 201212 yr Shes not DEAD. But her career is seemingly. Even I cant force myself to like Spirit!
August 6, 201212 yr Shes not DEAD. But her career is seemingly. Even I cant force myself to like Spirit! *PHEW* Because you wrote that, then I saw this http://en.necropedia.org/obituary/Nelly_Furtado and panicked.

August 6, 201212 yr *PHEW* Because you wrote that, then I saw this http://en.necropedia.org/obituary/Nelly_Furtado and panicked. With her death dated for tomorrow.
August 17, 201212 yr http://soundcloud.com/igapromotion/nelly-furtado-parking-lot If this really is the radio edit then she deserves to flop, like why do her songs from this era sound so good live, but so shit as a studio version.
August 17, 201212 yr I'm trynna get into her this time around, but I CAN'T. Something is missing, it's so bizarre seeing someone be so massive to struggle to release an album. I bet she's kicking herself for not taking full advantage of 'Loose'.
August 17, 201212 yr Author It's an utter disaster. She's putting out pop music here that nobody wants, it's totally bereft of character, presence or even thought? It all feels out of date too D:
