Whilst that is true, just like a white man can't call a black man 'a n*****', men cannot be sexist towards females. Its the world we live in...BUT personally I do believe Sky have wanted to get rid of Gray for a while, and this was just an excuse. Can't see Keys being sacked now, but i'd be surprised if he got offered a new contract when his current deal runs out.

Apparently Andy Gray was "desperate" to apologise, but Sky wouldn't allow him to release a statement... it's blatently clear this has been used to Sky's complete advantage to get rid of him.

I don't think a lot of staff he worked with liked him, and cos he'd been there so long he probably will have accumilated a lot of power. It gives them a chance to promote Jamie Redknapp though...or perhaps Ben Shepherd, although, i'd expect him to take over as presenter once Keys eventually leaves.

The speed with which further recordings appeared suggests that there were a number of people glad to get shot of him. They may well have been relatively junior people who felt unable to complain until Gray's comments at the weekend gave them their chance.

Of course, there's also the fact that Gray is in the process of suing the News of the World.

lol employed by Murdoch, and suing Murdcoh! He was on a ridiculous salary as well. £1.3m a year...jeez, I could do just as good a job as him!

Better for him to resign than be sacked I suppose. From what I read earlier in the day he just seemed very bitter about it all. Reminds me of the whole Ross/Brand scenario, only that propelled Brand to stardom lol.

I don't like Keys very much, but it does seem as though he's backed into a huge corner. I don't think he had any choice really, like I said before all this new footage coming to light is very planted. It does seem there are higher forces at work, I mean the whole chat to begin with was 'off-mic'...

The big problem with Crawley is that they've probably spent more money this season than most League 1/League 2 clubs, so to me it's not that much of a surprise they're beating teams higher up than them. I did find it quite funny how Sergio Torres got a big paper interview when he scored the winner in the last round like he's never been around before, even though he was quite decent for Peterborough last season when he got games in the Championship

THIS

They've spent like £1m on transfers this season alone. Literally the Man City of the Conference, buying any half-decent player in the non-league and offering stupid money. Matt Tubbs is a Championship/League 1 striker and he's playing for them. Infact pretty much their whole team is full of players who should be playing in the football league.

Another very random Peterborough match last night haha, there's now been 69 goals in 14 league games at London Road this season, mental. George Boyd was on fire tonight, one of the first times this season that has happened. Really don't get why managers insist on playing Chris Whelpdale at right back though when he's a right midfielder, I'm a big fan of his but the fans (probably quite rightly so) get on his back every game because he just isn't a right back. He was horribly exposed in the first half today, got no support from James Wesolowski down the right (a central midfielder playing right midfield, brilliant), and got destroyed at times by Jermaine Johnson who looked amazing before going off injured at half time.

The subs made an impact, especially Mendez-Laing and Grant McCann, makes a change McCann being good, I'm used to him being an annoying idiot who lofts the ball up the pitch in the hope that it'll find a Peterborough player and make him look good, every corner hitting the first man, and every freekick either hitting the wall or going a mile over, along with dithering on the ball in our own half, before inevitably losing the ball and the opposition scoring. There were still a couple of frustrating moments from him today though, like when a freekick was won and Tomlin was set to take it, before McCann decided to steal the ball off him and of course fire the freekick into the wall!

Southampton at home on Saturday, should be another good game. On Sky Sports aswell, should be good entertainment for anyone who wants to watch! Probably end up 6-5 or something stupid

I hate Chelsea. And especially John Terry the moronic homewrecking cockney prick.

Carlisle are due up at Peterborough I think shortly Damon? I know my dad is going with one of his friends who is a Peterborough supporter. I hope he doesn't make a sound if Carlisle score as he sits amongst the home supporters.
12th March, so yeah not too far away. It depends where he will be in the ground I think, sitting down for him won't be too bad, at least he's not going to be standing in the home terrace, I can't imagine that going well if he was to celebrate goals or anything. Do you know if he's sitting the family stand or the main stand?
I am not sure where he is going to be. I do know he has form for celebrating Carlisle goals when amongst the home supporters. I remember he did it at Fulham a few years ago. My brother and I edged away, we do not know him at all. He had a friend who lived nearby Craven Cottage at the time and so we went with him into the home supporters' section.

Gary Neville's retired...

Hmm I wonder what odds you could get for him to be the new Sky Sports analyst??

Unless he's aiming to be the Labour candidate in the Barnsley byelection, it seems a pretty obvious move.
