The first part of the finale was amazing television. Such a high quality of performer on each team, even if they're not all necessarily my thing. The perfect final two would be Chris and Juliet although I don't know if they do it like that or just announce the winner or what. The UK show cannot even begin to compare to this one.

 

Christina's many venomous attacks on Tony Lucca are FABULOUS.

 

Juliet has to win. Typical Buzzjack going for the vag but she's amazing in every way. iTunes suggests a Tony win, but iTunes hasn't been entirely accurate with eliminations etc., so I hope Juliet can steal it. I doubt it though, for some reason young white females are really not flavour du jour on American reality TV.

Juliet has such universal appeal though, I can easily imagine straight guys who are into rock finding her as appealing as gays and girls. I do fear a Tony win but then he lost out to Katrina in the public vote and only got saved because of Adam's sway so maybe not. I don't think Chris or Jermaine have any shot whatsoever at winning.

 

So it went thus (I'll spoiler it for those who haven't seen yet):

4th Chris

 

Gutted, but I so saw it coming. Jermaine is talented, I won't deny that, but we've totally seen it all before...

 

I honestly thought

Tony would win but I'm so glad he didn't and Juliet beat him to 2nd. It obviously should've been her though. What a talent. I hope she makes it.

 

 

It's been a pretty amazing series. I'm kinda sad it's all over!

 

Shakira & Usher are filling in for Christina & Cee-Lo next spring. Usher > Cee-Lo.

 

Hopefully it'll help Shakira to bring out a smash a la Maroon 5 & Christina.

So so so happy with that! Although I loved Xtina, Shakira will be amazing and I absolutely HATE Cee-Lo and like Usher, so it's a brilliant line-up! Why do America always get so lucky with their judging line-ups? :lol:

Well this is undoubtedly a better career move for her. X Factor USA is a big old flop.

 

Anyway I'm loving this season so far. The judges are on fine form and let's face it this show is all about them. The contestants so far are pretty decent but nobody has yet wowed me.

 

What confuses me with "The Voice" is how badly "The X Factor" is underperforming, yet the only artist that seems to have provoked any attention is the girl who did "Toxic"? It's strange.

Ranging from 9-11 million is far from a flop. And to be rising every episode. Unlike other shows I will not name.

 

 

Total viewers don't mean shit. The X Factor has yet to get above (or anywhere near) a 4.0 in the demo. Thus far six of the seven eps of The Voice have been above a 4.0.

The Voice is by far the bigger success story in US. I don't think either shows have any particularly interesting talent this year though.

My fandom needs no justification. The only reason I'm watching X Factor is because of Britney, I actually prefer The Voices format (I've been watching both). I just think The Voice gets kinda meh in the middle, and gets good again towards the end.
