It has been confirmed that Vettel will start from the back of the grid for tomorrow's race due to not having the amount of fuel required to take the required sample at the end of qualifying. This could be a decision that could not only change the championship, but also change F1 history as it could prevent Vettel from becoming only the 3rd person to win 3 consecutive championships! :o

This is going to be VERY interesting!

At least it's got interesting again. Been really boring lately. At least last year Vettel may have stormed the championship the races were still often decent.
What a interesting race this makes now. Following Vettel being relegated to the back of the grid. Hamilton had the same thing happen to him in Spain back in May. Golden chance for Alonso to make up ground in the championship providing he doesn't get in a first-lap accident.

Still rooting for Lewis win in championship, if not he then Alonso! This Vettel's penalty is like gold for Alonso!

Absolutely fantastic race, possibly the best of the season! Glad that everyone who was involved in the crashes is ok! Just 10 points between Alonso and Vettel now, but it could have been a lot worse for Vettel!

Big well done to Raikkonen, so glad he's finally got a win this season and also well done to di Resta who managed points despite the first lap collisions!

2 races left, who's everyone hoping to win? & who do you think deserves the title?
Definitely still backing Alonso, although it's seeming quite unlikely, which is a shame given that he had a pretty huge lead a few races back!
Vettel all the way for me. I couldn't cope with the amount of arse-licking for Fernando I'd see if he won the championship.

I hope Alonso wins the title for the very same reason.

The Vettel glorification over here is getting unbearable and reaching Schumacher levels very quickly. :puke2:

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a particular fan of Vettel. I'd much much rather it be Kimi Raikkonen winning the championship, or failing that Webber and then either of the two Brits. I just think Alonso is so utterly overrated, and the fact that he had the worst driver in Formula 1 as team-mate for 18 months has gone even further for people to prove how amazing he is. Saying he's massively outperformed the cars abilities or that he's challenging in an inferior car is, as far as I'm concerned, utter rubbish.

Alonso has been great in inferior cars, but his personality has been steadily decreasing since he was closing in on his first world championship win.

I'd rather Kimi won personally, failing that I'm happy with a Vettel win as it's still a Renault powered win. As long as it ISN'T either of the brits.

Kimi Raikkonen can no longer mathmatically win the World Championship as he is 57 points behind Vettel with 50 points avaliable in the last 2 races.

Looking forward to the return of USA in the F1 calendar in Austin, Texas on Sunday. Let's hope that is a good race.

Thanks post-bot 2000! I know that it is mathematically impossible for him to win. I expressed an opinion that I would prefer that he win. You know what an opinion is don't you?

I do think that the way your phrased it made it sound like there was still a chance, so I guess that Ken took it the same way.

I do agree though, I would have preferred Kimi to win - but I'm not really too bothered out of Vettel and Alonso! I just hope it goes down to the last race as anything could happen in Brazil, just like with Hamilton and Massa!

I agree I would have liked Raikkonen to win the world championship sadly he can't. But he pushed the Lotus to its limits this season. He would have still had a chance had he got from 2nd to 12th in the final few laps in China. Hopefully he'll challenge for the title next year. Shame that people who don't have Sky Sports F1 have to wait until 10:30pm to watch the race highlights.
Vettel qualifies on pole with Alonso starting 8th (qualified 9th, Grosjean penalty). Only the second time this season he's been outqualified by Massa. Oh dear. Didn't watch it so not sure why so low? Cocked up? Pressure got to him?
He couldn't seem to get heat into his tyres. Regularly fluffed up the last couple of corners scrubbing his time. There was some form of incident with Schumacher in P2 that left him displeased but I didn't see.
