January 15, 201213 yr Author 10 - Cee Lo Green feat. Wiz Khalifa "Bright Lights Bigger City" UK - 79-98-54-31-19-17-13-14-17-22-28-32-38-46-64-78-80-x-80-59-79-x (20 weeks) UBhdIcb84Hw&ob=av2e Cee-Lo Green's third release from The Lady Killer did better than the previous single "It's OK" which peaked at #20 and didn't make the final of this game. BLBC was also the radio airplay #1 for a few weeks so it was very unlucky to miss out the top ten. I personally like this song but it tired with overplay - F**k You is easily the best of this era and was my #2 in my 2010 EOY chart.
January 15, 201213 yr Author 09 - Tinie Tempah feat. Ellie Goulding "Wonderman" UK - 45-66-x-88-40-14-18-18-17-16-12-17-21-25-33-40-55-63-80-96-88-x-96-x (21 weeks) v-FWDsXUCes Tinie Tempah's fifth release from #1 album Disc-Overy was "Wonderman". It peaked one place lower than "Invincible" but had more chart weeks and sold more. This song features some great rapping from Tinie, who is my favourite rapper in the charts at the moment. Ellie Goulding's chorus is great too especially as hip-hop isn't her usual style. Top 10 so far... 9. +60 Tinie Tempah ft Ellie Goulding – Wonderman (12) 10. +58. Cee Lo Green – Bright Lights Bigger City (13)
January 15, 201213 yr Author 08 - Katy Perry "The One That Got Away" UK - 22-55-61-62-37-31-26-25-20-20-18-22- (12 weeks) Ahha3Cqe_fk&ob=av2e Katy Perry's sixth release from #1 album Teenage Dream was this. It was the first song from the era to miss top 10 in the UK, and also the first to miss #1 in the US, peaking at #3. It started its chart run at #22 after her performance of the song on The X Factor, later returning to the chart after getting radio airplay. Top 10 so far... 8. +68 Katy Perry – The One That Got Away (20) 9. +60 Tinie Tempah ft Ellie Goulding – Wonderman (12) 10. +58. Cee Lo Green – Bright Lights Bigger City (13)
January 15, 201213 yr Author 07 - Noah & The Whale "L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N." UK - 37-30-32-38-39-31-19-20-14-23-24-33-44-44-45-57-55-77-98-x-82-63-x-47-55-50-73-x (25 weeks) fbGUEelmzxo This was the first single taken from their most successful album to date "Last Night On Earth" which peaked at #8. The single had great longevity and was played on the radio a lot but never made the top 10. This is proof that releasing OA/OS can work sometimes. I still much prefer their other big hit "5 Years Time" from 2008 but this was one of the better indie songs of the year. Top 10 so far... 7. +71 Noah & The Whale – Life Goes On (14) 8. +68 Katy Perry – The One That Got Away (20) 9. +60 Tinie Tempah ft Ellie Goulding – Wonderman (12) 10. +58. Cee Lo Green – Bright Lights Bigger City (13)
January 15, 201213 yr Author 06 - Lady GaGa "Marry The Night" UK - 18-18-16-20-29-31-26-34- (8 weeks) cggNqDAtJYU&ob=av2e The fifth single taken from #1 album Born This Way - of course it was going to get a lot of love on this forum. It's still a great song, going straight into the top 20 after her performances of it on The X Factor and Children in Need. The video is too long for me, it takes 8 minutes for the song to kick in which is just boring. Top 10 so far... 6. +75 Lady GaGa – Marry The Night (16) 7. +71 Noah & The Whale – Life Goes On (14) 8. +68 Katy Perry – The One That Got Away (20) 9. +60 Tinie Tempah ft Ellie Goulding – Wonderman (12) 10. +58. Cee Lo Green – Bright Lights Bigger City (13) +++++++ OK I'ma stop posting now and give the top 5 in alphabetical order. Who will be #1 :o ADELE "Set Fire To The Rain" Florence + The Machine "Shake It Out" Foster The People "Pumped Up Kicks" Kanye West feat. Rihanna & Various Artists "All Of The Lights" Martin Solveig & Dragonette "Hello"
January 16, 201213 yr Author No-ones commenting in this thread but I might as well finish what I started :P 05 - Martin Solveig & Dragonette "Hello" UK - 73-29-18-16-13-13-16-22-27-23-30-36-35-33-25-27-25-29-32-41-42-41-50-52-69-70-80-x-99-x-48-51-64-x (31 weeks) LnET4RKXx5k&ob=av2e One of my favourite dance releases of the year, very pleased with BJ for getting this song so high and this is by far my favourite in the top 5. Top 10 so far... 5. +81. Martin Solveig & Dragonette – Hello (13) 6. +75 Lady GaGa – Marry The Night (16) 7. +71 Noah & The Whale – Life Goes On (14) 8. +68 Katy Perry – The One That Got Away (20) 9. +60 Tinie Tempah ft Ellie Goulding – Wonderman (12) 10. +58. The song is good but the video is really amazing and one of the best of the year Top 10 so far... 4. +88. Kanye West ft Rihanna & Various Artists – All Of The Lights (15) 5. +81. Martin Solveig & Dragonette – Hello (13) 6. +75 Lady GaGa – Marry The Night (16) 7. +71 Noah & The Whale – Life Goes On (14) 8. +68 Katy Perry – The One That Got Away (20) 9. +60 Tinie Tempah ft Ellie Goulding – Wonderman (12) 10. +58. I find this song OK but nothing on "Dog Days Are Over" and "You Got The Love" Top 10 so far... 3. +109 Florence + The Machine – Shake It Out (12) 4. +88. Kanye West ft Rihanna & Various Artists – All Of The Lights (15) 5. +81. January 16, 201213 yr Author Can the indie fanbase push Foster The People up to the top, or will ADELE have victory on yet another buzzjack poll :o :cheer: :kink: And here is your top 2... 02 - Foster The People "Pumped Up Kicks" UK - 27-30-31-27-27-30-22-18-23-38-41-48-58-61-63-67-54-43-42-50-57-68-78-64-73-87-94-59-41-22- (30 weeks) SDTZ7iX4vTQ&ob=av2e Taking a long time to peak, it finally went top 20 after 7 weeks. In the US it did much better, spending 14 weeks in the top 10 (8 of those weeks were spent at its peak of #3 :o) It also recently climbed to number one in Australia. 01 - ADELE "Set Fire To The Rain" UK - 79-44-69-99-x-83-46-25-23-21-12-11-11-12-13-13-14-17-15-20-21-25-26-26-29-38-36-21-30-45-51-51-61-56-59-32-35-44 (37 weeks) Ri7-vnrJD3k&ob=av2n A deserved win for ADELE, she really defined 2011 - scoring the biggest #1 and #11 of the year. Hopefully this song can go on to outsell Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" (currently the best selling song not to go top 10) as its much better. :D Here's the full chart 1. +114 ADELE – Set Fire To The Rain (11) 2. +111 Foster The People – Pumped Up Kicks (18) 3. +109 Florence + The Machine – Shake It Out (12) 4. +88. January 16, 201213 yr I strongly disagree with the fact that avril missed the top 10 and that foster the people managed to get top 2 here, but there you go. :P adele number 1 as expected too.
January 16, 201213 yr Actually quite good results for a change. Apart from the fact that there's NO way Cheers or Got 2 Luv U deserved to be so low! But in the top 10 I love All of the Lights, Shake It Out, Wonderman and Bright Lights, Bigger City (basically the only song from Cee-Lo's current album that I've heard and loved). Predicatble winner though, but it's an okay song, and seemed to be the general public's favourite song to miss the top 10 too, based on its sales. Predictably it was The Flood that finished last too.
January 16, 201213 yr So many incredible songs missed the top 10, i hope its not the same this year! Gutted that SFTTR, PUK and MTN missed the top 10.
