January 15, 201213 yr Didn't expect anything else, not to say that I agree with it. Utterly rubbish lyrics.
January 15, 201213 yr Author Not surprising, but I believe an apt winner. :D right, probably the most deserving....
January 15, 201213 yr Much prefer Rolling I agree, this definitely should have won. RYnFIRc0k6E&ob=av3e
January 15, 201213 yr My favourite off the list, so I'm glad it won, obvious winner or not  Wish Olly would've been a bit higher though...
January 16, 201213 yr Best song on the list received the fewest votes - bollocks to that. SLY was far from my favourite song of the year but a worthy winner in any case.
January 16, 201213 yr Didn't expect anything else, not to say that I agree with it. Utterly rubbish lyrics. ?!?!?!? Whaaaaat? Please....explain...... because, lyrically, Someone Like You is utterly jaw-droppingly brilliant... so what do you find so 'rubbish' about it lyrically?
January 16, 201213 yr ?!?!?!? Whaaaaat? Please....explain...... because, lyrically, Someone Like You is utterly jaw-droppingly brilliant... so what do you find so 'rubbish' about it lyrically? As someone who thinks it's a load of over-sentimental old tosh, I always quite enjoy reading Aiden Moffatt's amusing take on it whenever I'm forced to endure the horrible whining. http://thequietus.com/articles/06446-adele...like-you-review
January 19, 201213 yr Author 'Someone like you' deserves that number 1 whether over-sentimental tosh or not... it's a great piece of songwriting...
January 19, 201213 yr Someone Like You's lyrics can be seen as brilliant and horrendous. It's incredibly easy to pick apart but you could say the vague nature of the lyrics while still having the dominant theme of losing a loved one is one of the song's biggest strengths if not the very biggest. I would have preferred Rolling or HIAM to win this but it's deserving and the rightful winner I guess. Edited January 19, 201213 yr by Umi
