I'm not a huge fan of The Chemical Brothers, but this soundtrack is pretty immense!

 

01 - I'd only known of Bic before because of the Emma's Imagintion cover of Drive. Hello Hello is great though! I got the album today, and it's really quite strong!

13 - I'm starting to tire of it now, but for me, it's comfortably her second best song.

16 - Totally agree! It is very Sheelah!

34 - I like it a lot, but I completely agree. The ballad would be a borderline qualifier too I think. La La Love would be a certain qualifier I should think.

55 - J-Son puts me off it quite a bit, but I do really like the chorus!

02 - They haven't decided yet, no. 25th January is their national final, iirc. This is definitely their best option. The other two tracks are great, but one (Call The Police) would be an instant DNQ and the other might struggle if there's tough competition!

16 - It's definitely a grower, but it is more instant for me than The Last Time was.

I'm not a huge fan of The Chemical Brothers, but this soundtrack is pretty immense!

 

01 - I'd only known of Bic before because of the Emma's Imagintion cover of Drive. Hello Hello is great though! I got the album today, and it's really quite strong!

13 - I'm starting to tire of it now, but for me, it's comfortably her second best song.

16 - Totally agree! It is very Sheelah!

34 - I like it a lot, but I completely agree. The ballad would be a borderline qualifier too I think. La La Love would be a certain qualifier I should think.

55 - J-Son puts me off it quite a bit, but I do really like the chorus!

01 (19) Bic Runga ~ Hello Hello ~ 2 [19-1] Quite a jump! Reminds me of Katzenjammer; as I found with them, there's just something I can't quite appreciate in the instrumentation, personal quirk I guess

02 (**) Ivi Adamou ~ La La Love ~ 1 [2] Definitely the best of the three! Hopefully they'll make the right choice and they might have a shot at victory!

09 (27) SoSo ~ Who's Gonna Love Me? ~ 4 [34-30-27-9] Hurrah! A very nice jump this time. I'm actually umming and erring on what to send now, so this might be my entry after all

10 (**) Íris Hólm ~ Leyndarmál ~ 1 [10] Must try and get up to speed with all the national contests... on first listen, pretty classic power ballad, but I wouldn't see it winning (though from the YT comments it didn't even make the national final?)

I have, I saw it over New Year at a friend's house. It was really good! I noticed the music was brilliant too, so was pleased it had been released as a soundtrack - I was quite surprised to find out it was by The Chemical Brothers actually!

Yeah, I loved the music in the film! Was quite surprised to find out it was The Chemical Brothers!

 

01 - I love a quirky acoustic track! :D . A lot of Bic's previous music has been quite sombre though, so it's nice to see her release something a bit more upbeat!

02 - Fingers crossed! They'll have a realistic chance with this track - it's very J. Lo!

09 - I've been playing it a lot over the past couple of weeks now! I think it would make a perfect debut entry for you!

10 - It didn't :( . Such a shame, if it were in this week's semi, it would have sailed through! Instead of it qualifying, a really dodgy boyband made it through alongside my #23 this week.

16 - Indeed! It sounds very promising!

24 - I prefer this one, but I did order both on 12"! Battleground should be entering my next chart if it can compete with the sea of Eurovision NF songs!

37 - It's one of my least favourites sadly :( . It's still quite good though, but it's nowhere near tracks like America and Oh My God, imo.

41 - It is a shame, it's a strong track! There are quite a lot of tracks on the album that I'd have preferred to be released as singles instead though.

Glad you're liking La La Love, fingers crossed Cyprus pick it in 2 days time! I prefer Yo-Yo to Lucky Day, but I also prefer most of the rest of the album to Yo-Yo :lol: . I assume Azuro is a similar act to DHT, where Elly will always be a featured artist like Edmee was with DHT... :unsure: Either way, this track doesn't come anywhere near Ti Amo in terms of quality!
