I must have been listening to this around the time you were posting!

It's not the best thing he's ever done by some way but it's still a lot better than most of what is around at the moment.

Long live The Boss!

New album has been confirmed. It will be called "Wrecking Ball", and will be released on my birthday, March 6th. The tracklist is this:

1. We Take Care of Our Own

2. Easy Money

3. Shackled and Drawn

4. Jack of All Trades

5. Death to My Hometown

6. This Depression

7. Wrecking Ball

8. You've Got It

9. Rocky Ground

10. Land of Hope and Dreams

11. We Are Alive

You're right, I took the release info from Billboard. We're probably getting it March 10th then.

Don't we usually get albums the day before the US, so the 5th?

Anyhow, I'm seeing him this year so hope the album's good. "We Take Care Of Our Own" is pretty decent, I like it.

Same album title as an Emmylou Harris album (which happens to be my all-time favorite), so I wonder if the song ''Wrecking Ball'' will be a Neil Young cover?

Anyway, I am interested to see what he can bring this time. The first single sounds good.

This really reminds me of something else but I can't think what. In a good way though. Solid but like has been said not his best.

Does anyone know if Clarence made the album?

We Take Care of Our Own isn't too amazing but I enjoyed Working On A Dream so hoping the album will be just as good, looking forward to hearing Tom Morello's parts on the album.

You're right, I thought that 6th March was a Thursday (should know better, since it's my b'day :banghead:

Slightly - actually, very - off topic but, as it's a Tuesday, will you be playing this on your radio show on the day?

No I don'k think so.

I've had it on repeat all day and I'm loving it. Of course it's not his best but when you best is Thunder Road you can fall a long long way and still kick the shit out of most of today's artists.

It's already stirring up political controversy in the US and from what I hear the rest of the album is even more political / angry.

Not a huge fan of WOAD but for me this looks like it's back to the sort of standard of Magic and The Rising - so I'm one very happy Bruce fan.

Roll on March 5th and then June!!!

Given that I tend to play new music on the show, then probably not. (I used to have a tradition of playing Dub Be Good To Me, the song that was number 1 the day I was born, on the show during my birthday week, but Professor Green's mauling of that track has ruined it a little). Of course, if there is a new band who have released a recent cover version of the Altered Images track, then I can't see why not.

I have avoided the leaks and even not watched Jimmy Fallon until I got my hands on the album. It arrived this morning (got to love Play.com) and it is fantastic - best thing he's done for 10 years
