Gotye #11, shame it'll be Coldplay he knocks out but needs must I guess.

Please let Coldplay overtake Taio just in the nick of time :P

But seriously, I won't mind too much if Gotye kicks out Coldplay, they have been top 10 for 7 weeks after all (and probably at least 8 weeks overall on iTunes as they had a couple of brief spells in there before starting this long one). At least it's another really good song :D

I've just heard a new Flo Rida song featuring T-Pain and LMFAO. I think he could get 3 #1s this year. :drama:

I'm not sure if it'll be single, but I guess from the features it's likely. It was leaked/premiered earlier today, but it could be one of those cases where you hear a song on the Internet, but it doesn't get into the charts until like 9 months later (like with International Love, Good Feeling, Somebody That I Used to Know, etc.).

It sounds more like an LMFAO song than a Flo Rida song. I wouldn't be surprised if it was produced by Goonrock. T-Pain sings the chorus, and LMFAO rap the bridge (over some faux-dubstep thing). It's a standard US rap club banger tbh. It sounds like a quieter version of Champagne Showers, (funnily enough though, T-Pain's voice is probably LESS interfered with than Natalia Kills's was). The song is called Run To You, but all the Youtube videos of it are getting blocked. :( I hope I've described it well enough. I don't really like it that much, and it'll be very hated on here I think, especially as a chorus from T-Pain is not quite as nice as one from Etta James or Sia.

Cover Drive have already started decreasing and are light red, If they are already decreasing then Flo Rida, David Guetta & Jessie J still have hope for being number one as no doubt Cover Drive will drop quite fast tomorrow.

Cover Drive are still increasing their lead over Jessie J despite being in the light red. The lead is now 33%. Plus they have a CD single out and they're advertising on Twitter for their fans to download via text message and through other sites. Hopefully they can hang on!

 215. Lick Ya Down - Cover Drive

Could 'Twilight' also get a 59p reduction please?! :heehee:

Top 10 effect promptly please. Then can Coldplay knock Taio back out of the top 10 :kink:

Ooh, Labrinth reduced to 59p - hopefully that will keep it in the top 15 for another week or two :D Same for DWMT.

Flo Rida up to 45.8% of #1 as of last Kworb update.

I don't know how you interpret information but Cover Drive has increased the gap to Jessie J the last 24 hours. Jessie J is now only selling 2/3 of what Cover Drive is selling. On the 3rd day of sales, FLo Rida has not even reached half of Cover Drives sales. Plus the rise in Flo Rida sales have slowed down sharply.

So the way I'd interpret it is that Cover Drive sits pretty steady at the top so far and have a good chance of reaching the top spot. I hope it does. It's always fun when an artist breaks through via a great a song. People are not buying it cause it's a well known band. They are buying it cause it's a great song!

^ The massive amount of radio airplay it's been getting on some radio stations, mainly Capital, is also a reason it's doing well.

I agree though, it's definitely one of the best songs in the chart atm, and I really hope it gets #1. Lick Ya Down I think charted at #9 or #10, with pretty much the same promotion campaign (the only difference is that I think Lick Ya Down might've been 99p when it was released rather than 79p, but it still had the overplay, Capital sending download links to everyone, etc.) so I think that proves people are buying it because they like it, and Lick Ya Down didn't sell as much because it wasn't so liked.

'Lick Ya Down' is on par with 'Twilight' for me. It deserved a lot better, hopefully the 59p reduction and the future album release can boost its sales and better its chart run a bit.

Come on Twilight! Has radio 1 added it to their playlist? If not, hopefully they do tomorrow.

Radio 1 hasn't added it yet. They should now that it's clear that people are loving the record. They get a lot of airplay on Capital but no amount of airplay can get a bad song to #1. Not even top 5. At least not when it's a pretty unknown band.

They can't say that it's too pop cause they are playing One Direction. And they can't say that people are just buying it cause it's a famous artist that's performing the song. I think that was their reason for not playing Alexandra Burke "Start Without You". Radio 1 said people are not buying in to the song they are buying it cause it's Alexandra. Maybe they had a point with SWY, but Cover Drive is not a well-know reality TV show act.

It REALLY doesn't need one.

Goes to show if the song is actually good OA/OS can work but if its throwaway it needs to be held back to get a high chart position!!

Havent heard it yet but if its anything like LYD it must be a terrible no1!!
