January 27, 201213 yr Hmm. You're charting the song I submitted to the BJSC earlier this week. Pointage? :kink: I also approve of your number 22! :cheer:
January 27, 201213 yr Author Hi gooddelta! 1. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (1) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27-19-5-1-1) Longest Runner 7. Minnie-Oh - You & I (4) (CR-4-7) 8. Reidun Sæther - High On Love (27) (CR-27-33) 47. Gabriella Cilmi - Vicious Love (NEW) (CR-47) - Good, but I prefer her 'On A Mission' style music. 48. Mimicry - The Destination (NEW) (CR-48) 49. Avicii feat Nervo - You're Gonna Love Again (NEW) (CR-49) Great chart  Thanks Adam :D Titanium could make a huge impact in my personal chart next week :magic: I've found its chart run  Why, did you lose it? :o Hi Rich ^_^ 1. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (1) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27-19-5-1-1) Longest Runner 5. Nora Foss Al-Jabri - Somewhere Beautiful (6) (CR-6-5) 6. Cover Drive - Twilight (5) (CR-10-10-4-3-5-6) Mega surprised at this songs success! Never had it down as being a number 1 contender, let alone a number 1! 7. Minnie-Oh - You & I (4) (CR-4-7) 11. Plumbo - Ola Nordmann (25) (CR-25-11) 12. Ed Sheeran - Drunk (32) (CR-73-OUT-42-32-12) 13. Tone Damli - Look Back (NEW) (CR-28) 31. M83 - Reunion (17) (CR-17-31) 33. Reidun Sæther - High On Love (27) (CR-27-33) 35. M83 - Midnight City (26) (CR-31-25-39-OUT-36-26-35) 38. Tommy Fredvang - Make It Better (45) (CR-45-38) 39. Dia Frampton - The Broken Ones (NEW) (CR-39) Lovely to see this enter. It's beautiful. Her album's decent enough too, I guess. but this is by far the standout for me. 46. Linda Király & Ben & Viktor - Untried (NEW) (CR-46) Oooh. Is this 'Can't Let Go' Linda Kiraly?! I'm going to have to give this is a listen! :o 47. Gabriella Cilmi - Vicious Love (NEW) (CR-47) Really unimpressed with this. It's so dull and does nothing for me. Thanks Jonjo, I agree about Twilight, I was thinking mid top ten, #4 peak max but looking set for a #1 debut :o I'm pleased for them, it's a great song! The Broken Ones is really nice, and i do like the album too. Indeed it is the same Linda, this is her entry to the Hungary Eurovision NF, very poppy and I reckon you'd like it! I doubt the Gabriella song will be much bigger for me but it's nice enough for an entry. Hello Rich, 1. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (1) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27-19-5-1-1) Longest Runner - I listened to the Alesso remix, first time I'm really doing this with a song, specifically checking out remixes, because I love it so much, and it's lovely to hear another take on the song, even though I obviously prefer the original. Shocked to see it return to #1 for you though, with it possibly challenging for #1 in the UK, I'm beginning to love it even more. 2. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1-1-1-2-2) 3. Prance Faris - Flares (3) (CR-31-15-9-2-3-3) 4. Elisa's - Linjen I Min Hand (NEW) (CR-4) - I haven't listened to it since you posted the thread, but I have good memories of it, I can't remember if it's still on Scandipop though, nope, it isn't, so I can't listen to it any more, hopefully I'll find it somewhere online. It's an example of the genre at it's best though. 6. Cover Drive - Twilight (5) (CR-10-10-4-3-5-6) 7. Minnie-Oh - You & I (4) (CR-4-7) 8. Ivi Adamou - La La Love (11) (CR-20-11-8) - Lovely to see this enter the top 10, I've become obsessed with it for the past week, and I can't tell you how glad that it was picked over the other two... options. 9. Marigold - You & I Know (21) (CR-18-14-11-21-9) 12. Ed Sheeran - Drunk (32) (CR-73-OUT-42-32-12) 13. Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (7) (CR-55-OUT-23-13-7-11-24-36-31-33-32-21-11-3-4-7-13) 14. One Direction - One Thing (8) (CR-35-29-28-23-28-OUT-47-8-14) 16. Lise Karlsnes - Sailors (19) (CR-19-16) 17. Alexandra Burke - Elephant (20) (CR-41-20-17) 18. Emma Lewin - No Excuses (10) (CR-10-18) 19. First Aid Kit - Emmylou (12) (CR-21-12-19) 20. Karen Viuff - Universe (31) (CR-31-20) 21. Ditte Marie - Overflow (9) (CR-9-21) 22. Soluna Samay - Should've Known Better (NEW) (CR-22) 25. Alyssa Reid feat Jump Smokers - Alone Again (15) (CR-25-6-15-25) 31. M83 - Reunion (17) (CR-17-31) 34. Robin - Frontside Ollie (37) (CR-37-34) 35. M83 - Midnight City (26) (CR-31-25-39-OUT-36-26-35) 37. Swiss Lips - U Got The Power (NEW) (CR-37) 47. Gabriella Cilmi - Vicious Love (NEW) (CR-47) - Decent for a comeback, but a WHOLE lot different to the gloriousness that was On A Mission. I wonder if this is just a demo? 49. Avicii feat Nervo - You're Gonna Love Again (NEW) (CR-49) - There's not a whole lot to it for an Avicii track, is there? I know Nervo have good production skills, but they always seem to make average tracks on vocals. Hmmph, maybe I didn't give it a much of a chance. Brilliant chart! :D Thanks Eyes! You're starting to love Titanium even more? It was your EOY 2011 #1 wasn't it! Looks like it could be the first song for ages to finish in my EOY top 20 for two years running :D Pleased to hear you like the Alesso remix too! Elisa's' album has leaked (Google 'Elisa's Det Sa Klick MP3'), so the track is out there still, it's such great schlager  La La Love is a fantastic entry, good on Cyprus for picking it and now I hope it goes on to be successful in the contest! I like Vicious Love, it won't be huge in my chart but it's nice to hear her voice again on some new material. Likewise You're Gonna Love Again, Nervo are a bit meh as an actual act but the Avicii sound always appeals to me! Still, I'd be surprised if it's huge for me. Hmm. You're charting the song I submitted to the BJSC earlier this week. Pointage? :kink: I also approve of your number 22! :cheer: Ooh, I'm wondering what it is now, another great Espen entry then if it's already in my chart (although not a discovery this time)! I've narrowed it down to these five; Moa Lignell - When I Held Ya, First Aid Kit - Emmylou, Annah Mac - Girl In Stilettos, Kate Havnevik - Mouth 2 Mouth, Pegboard Nerds & Morten Breum - Ingen Anden Drøm I considered at least two of these but instead just kept the song I confirmed in the opening seconds of confirmation, which I've been loving for weeks :D
January 27, 201213 yr Hey Rich! :o at how close it was at the top, shame Gotye couldn't edge it (I love both, but I think everyone knows where my heart lies  ) 3. Prance Faris - Flares (3) (CR-31-15-9-2-3-3) I guessed you'd enter this to BJSC, fantastic choice! Obviously I've not listened to the other songs yet (apart from the half dozen I already know :kink: ), but I can't see me not giving it any points! 9. Marigold - You & I Know (21) (CR-18-14-11-21-9) I thought that drop was horribly steep, glad to see it bounce back! Fantastic Ghosty discovery (points here too? :kink: ) 17. Alexandra Burke - Elephant (20) (CR-41-20-17) I thought this was a little lame at first, but I'm REALLY into it now, hope it does well when it's eventually released <_< 19. First Aid Kit - Emmylou (12) (CR-21-12-19) Nice tune, quite mid-'90s country 28. Tone Damli - Look Back (NEW) (CR-28) I only know Butterflies, but this is really nice, I might follow Silas down the loon hole   42. Ladyhawke - Black White & Blue (NEW) (CR-42) Doesn't seem to be much love for this, but I think it's really catchy! 47. Gabriella Cilmi - Vicious Love (NEW) (CR-47) I want to like this, but it's so... beige :( 50. Saint Etienne - Tonight (NEW) (CR-50) Longtime fan, excited for new material finally! Those re-issues were fun but I get so frustrated when an act is visible but isn't giving me new stuff  Fantastic as always! :D

Those re-issues were fun but I get so frustrated when an act is visible but isn't giving me new stuff  Fantastic as always! :D Thanks David, I was so torn, I really wanted a joint #1 as they're practically tying in my affections now but I thought fairer to give Titanium another week, making it three apiece, we'll see what happens next in this clash of the titans :o 3. There was never any doubt, I've been in love with it for weeks and it keeps on growing too. Would be an easy #1 if not for the two juggernauts out in front! It would be great to receive points from Syndare on your first contest but I won't hold you to it, just in case you find ten songs that you prefer :P 9. Yeah, it dropped back massively last week almost by default because of the MGP/DMGP invasion but it hasn't left my affections and I thought it deserved top ten. I'm very glad that Ghosty sent it and I can practically guarantee him points, seeing as it was a discovery via him! 17. It's really decent, I'm no loon for Alexandra but she's had a couple of big hits in my chart. Bad Boys went to #5 and Up All Night #4, not sure if this will be her third top five hit in the middle of Eurovision season but I'm really liking it. 19. I agree, the album's a pleasant listen too but alas only has two or three standouts. A more country sounding The Pierces to my ears. 28. Check out her last album Cocool, it's really strong, made my top 20 of 2010! 42. I really like it too, shame it's not attracted much buzz, it ranks quite close to her 2008 stuff imo. 47. Well I don't 'love' it, it'll probably be a one week wonder for me, but I do like it! 50. I gathered that from your inclusion of one of their album covers in your Album Cover Puzzle round! I really like them but alas their only #1 in my chart to date is Tell Me Why (The Riddle). I'd rank I Was Born On Christmas Day amongst my all time favourite Xmas songs though :D I do own their recent Best Of but none of their studio albums.
January 28, 201213 yr RIIIICH - 13. Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (7) (CR-55-OUT-23-13-7-11-24-36-31-33-32-21-11-3-4-7-13) 33. January 28, 201213 yr Thanks Tom, bloody brilliant snap top 2, these songs are AMAZING! Apparently Linjen I Min Hand means 'Line In My Hand', bizarre thing to sing about  Overflow would have been an excellent entry, but songs like that never win national finals :( Wild Ones is really good but it's no Titanium - can you imagine a slowed down Part II, Sia wailing about shutting down tha club in ballad form  The Destination probably isn't as good as The Storm but I do really like it. Tonight is really good too, like Sia Saint Etienne's first #1 in my chart was in 2000 - with Paul Van Dyk on Tell Me Why (The Riddle) Before long they'll be collaborating with Pitbull! Have you heard my #18 song, Emma Lewin - No Excuses, she's the brunette from Sheelah gone solo, it sounds a lot like the lost third Sheelah single actually, but I don't love it as much as Psycho or The Last Time, well worth a listen though! Indeed they are  Yeah, that's a bit odd, but whatever  True, which is why I fear for Lise Karlsnes :( Well yes I know what you're saying, but the vocals are superb. Me too, they seem like the quintessential Estonian group to me in a weird way, not that I know much about Estonian culture, but they love Depeche Mode  Really? Wow :o I don't think that will be happening though, Bob whatsisname was whining about the state of pop the other day, and I think Pitbull was probably one of the first things in his mind  I haven't actually :o I always liked the blonde better (reverse of ABBA ) I'll check it out! How come she has such an English name?
January 28, 201213 yr Author RIIIICH - 13. Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (7) (CR-55-OUT-23-13-7-11-24-36-31-33-32-21-11-3-4-7-13) 33. How come she has such an English name? Lise *might* make it through to the final but she'll never get past Plumbo even if she does :o Sia's vocals are always superb, what's new there? :P I wouldn't mind visiting Estonia actually, it's certainly top of my 'Baltic states I'd like to visit' list! Oh dear, he's contracted 'old man syndrome' The blonde scared me with her huge eyes, although admittedly she had a better voice, and was responsible for that money note on The Last Time  No idea, perhaps she has English roots? :o
January 30, 201213 yr Hey Rich :D heres what I like, not much I know, need some Mary J ;) hope your all good! 1. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (1) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27-19-5-1-1) Longest Runner 2. January 30, 201213 yr Author Thanks Simon, indeed, Mary J would really brighten it up. I was listening to 911 (the Wyclef duet, not the boyband!) earlier today you'll be glad to hear :P

Avicii feat Nervo - You're Gonna Love Again (NEW) (CR-49) How many times has a former #1 returned to the top of your chart after exiting? Surely Titanium is in a catergory than most ordinary #1s. I'm trilled at both Titanium & STIUTK doing so well in the UK. Love them so much, I may just have to re-chart STIUK again too! I haven't listened to all of Born To Die yet, but National Anthem is a stand out track. I think I know the track you submitted for UP. Great chart as always!
January 31, 201213 yr Author Hi Rich, 1. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (1) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27-19-5-1-1) Longest Runner 2. I haven't listened to all of Born To Die yet, but National Anthem is a stand out track. I think I know the track you submitted for UP. Great chart as always! Thanks West :D It's not something that happens too often, I think Release Me by Agnes was the last song to do this, it was my Xmas #1 in 2008 and made its way back up in May 2009, I can't remember if it exited the chart altogether though or just changed direction! Most of my returning #1's go back up just from #2/3 or something having not dropped that far away from the top in the first place! It really is excellent to see both songs become bonafide huge hits here  I'm not used to the UK having such taste! National Anthem really is, it surely has to be a single? Haha, I'm struggling to guess what yours is but I'll be interested to find out if I voted for it!
January 31, 201213 yr Hi Rich 1. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (1) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27-19-5-1-1) Longest Runner 2. Lana Del Rey - National Anthem (NEW) (CR-36) Brilliant top 2, Titanium is such anthem now, amazing grower, same goes for Somebody That I Used To Know, when I heard it first time last year I wasn't keen on it, but now i'm totally in love. And what happened here :o I deleted so many songs, BJSC effect?

And what happened here :o I deleted so many songs, BJSC effect? Thanks Nick :D Try Eurovision effect, 20 of these 50 songs are from ESC national finals! Titanium was incredibly instant for me, #1 on its second week in my chart! But agreed that STIUTK is a grower!

January 31, 201213 yr Hey! Some comments for you: 3. Prance Faris - Flares (3) (CR-31-15-9-2-3-3) A pretty good entry from Rontvia! I prefer the music to the vocals, but this should be another easy top 10 finish for you! 4. Elisa's - Linjen I Min Hand (NEW) (CR-4) If you ever get hold of an mp3 of this, could you send it to me please? 7. Minnie-Oh - You & I (4) (CR-4-7) I'm really gutted this didn't reach the final, fingers crossed it gets the wildcard place! 8. Ivi Adamou - La La Love (11) (CR-20-11-8) Fabulous entry from Cyprus! 9. Marigold - You & I Know (21) (CR-18-14-11-21-9) Into the top 10! :D . I really hope it makes the final, but a number of odds and predictas are going against it :( 28. Tone Damli - Look Back (NEW) (CR-28) Hopefully this means a new album is imminent! 36. Lana Del Rey - National Anthem (NEW) (CR-36) Listened to the album yesterday and this was one of my favourites. Hope it's the next single! 43. Greta Salóme, Heiða og Guðrún Árný - Aldrei Sleppir Mér (NEW) (CR-43) My second choice in the Icelandic final, but for me it simply has to be Greta and Jonsi that win - nothing else comes close! 46. Linda Király & Ben & Viktor - Untried (NEW) (CR-46) One of the highlights from the Hungarian selection, and it would be a very strong entry for the country! Let's hope they choose wisely! 48. Mimicry - The Destination (NEW) (CR-48) My second favourite in the Estonian selection! It's not as good as The Storm, but again I certainly wouldn't mind it if Estonia decided to send them this year!

Thanks Ghosty! 3. I LOVE this song so much, I've become very endeared to the vocals now but I think it could live without them. I couldn't see past sending it though anyway, it was either that or Elisa's and what's the point in sending such in your face schlager to BJSC, nobody would appreciate it  I'm hoping for top ten after my flop last month but we'll see... 4. I have one, and I shall send it your way! 7. I'd love it too, it seems quite feasible that it may have come 4th, it's the 4th highest on iTunes out of the semi-finalists, behind the three that qualified for the final! Of course, it's a long shot that it would be the best performing 4th placed song but I have everything crossed! 8. I couldn't agree more :D 9. I do think it will make the final, with me and Syndare in your semi you're off to a good start! It deserves to come top ten but will people appreciate it? 28. Indeed, Cocool was excellent so I'd very much welcome a new album :D 36. It's my standout too, David Sneddon wrote it apparently :o 43. I like six of the seven finalists actually, I'm really impressed with the quality this year - it's only Hey that I dislike (:puke:). Greta and Jonsi would be decent but I actually prefer this song personally! 46. It sounds like the sort of thing that might be entered into BJSC! I only liked five songs from the Hungarian final 20, I expect a few of those have already crashed out! 48. I'd love to see Estonia send You're Not Alone personally but this would be excellent too!

The second heat was so strong though that maybe we'll have another Iris Holm situation where the majority of the votes went to the qualifiers in that heat, whilst in another heat the votes were more evenly spread :( . 09 - Who knows! At this moment in time I'll be extremely elated if it just manages to qualify! 36 - Oh really?! I quite liked some of his songs though, he had a lot more talent than people gave him credit for. 43 - I think Hey is one of the better finalists, but there are only two finalists that I care for. 46 - So far only one of my favourites has gone out, Annamari Dancs. Linda, Renata, Gabi, Sophistic and Peter remain so I'm hoping one of those will win!

It would get a few 12's and nothing else, and if it wasn't in the same semi as schlager fans then it might have even DNQ'd! Besides, I prefer Flares to Linjen I Min Hand personally so I wouldn't have sent it. 4. You're welcome, will you chart it considering it's only an album track? 7. Possibly so, it's a bit of a corrupt system to choose the best 4th placed qualifier really, they should pit all three of the 4th placers against each other and have another public vote to choose the 10th finalist! 9. It'll be one of the greatest DNQ's of all time if it doesn't... 36. Indeed, I couldn't stand him to be honest but Don't Let Go was a very strong song, he should have used it as his debut single. 46. What happened to the song at #41 in my chart? Did it crash out yet? I haven't been following the progress of the Hungarian NF at all

I haven't been following the progress of the Hungarian NF at all  03 - That's true, it would have been quite a risk to send it! 04 - I think I will as it was featured on a blog (I just made that chart rule up now :kink: ). I'll probably be a bit more lenient this year, but I'm not going back to charting multiple album tracks by the same artist again. 07 - I agree! I have read that they're getting a jury to decide the wildcard this year, so hopefully that's true! 09 - Well I'm not sure about that, there have been some far more fantastic songs in the past that have failed to qualify! 36 - Agreed there! I rather liked Baby Get Higher too! 46 - It crashed out :( . Sadly, they've decided to let a jury pick three finalists and the public only gets to pick one, so I think a lot of the fan favourites may not reach the final.
January 31, 201213 yr I love the top 2 - I agree that Titanium and Somebody That I Used To Know are basically neck and neck in terms of brilliance.
