I see bitchiness from all fanbases, which is why im staying off Twitter for a while until it dies down between Gaga and Madonna fans :lol:

Although i'm pretty sure if Madonna did get #1 quicker than Gaga, there would have been tonnes of comparisons from Madonna fans, its just bound to happen unfortunately, especially with her recent comments to Gaga

From what I've seen, Madonna fans are, in general, a LOT more sensible than that, so if she did shoot straight to #1 on iTunes (which nobody except Lady Gaga fans were expecting her to do), then they wouldn't have been very nasty about it. They would've just been happy for themselves, and the Beyonce, Christina, Britney, etc. fans would've been happy for them too.

Well, you are! :lol: I'm Into You charted at #41 on the Hot 100, and her fanbase were like "Oh, it's a shame it didn't do better", but that was it. Contrast that to how Lady Gaga fans were acting with Marry the Night's Hot 100 position!! :lol: So yes, J-Lo fans are so calm and lovely in comparison.

4 Minutes was a bigger hit than Born This Way in the UK, and I doubt that went to #1 on iTunes on its release day.

Tbh everyone has their deluded loons, but I think the 'rivalry' between Madonna/Britney/Gaga stans is worst. I happen to love all those 3 artists and place them in my top 10 of all time, but they seem to think that you can only like one, and have to big up their successes to make everyone else sound like 'flops'.

True. Its like a crime to like more than one of those artists, even though they're all very similar in terms of music!

4 Minutes was the 9th biggest-selling song of 2008, and Born This Way was only the 14th biggest-selling song of 2011.

 

And comparing their chart runs:

Born This Way: 3-3-8-4-4-7-10-13-14-17-20-28-34-24-16-etc.

 

Also notice how last time Madonna got to #1 after 5 weeks, not after 12 hours...

Yeah, I found Madonna and Justin an off pairing. :lol: I remember some people saying Madonna ripped-off Gwen Stefani, because she runs through a supermarket in the video. :drama:

^ Compared to how much I go on about certain songs, it's not much. :lol:

 

I think it's difficult for Nicki to do a good verse on Madonna's song, since it's so fast, she only had like 15 seconds, and the song doesn't really seem to be about anything, and Monster is practically the opposite in all those respects.

 

I love the music video to Monster aswell. I don't normally watch music videos more than once, but Monster's one is really good imo.

For me Monster is the only time Nicki Minaj has ever been good, the entire song is epic from start to finish.

Nicki's verse in Monster is life changing stuff. An amazing song all round, but Nicki really ups it even more.
