February 24, 201213 yr It seems I was wrong. So, that officially means Jedward is going to win for sure. They will get the highests points from public.
February 24, 201213 yr Aw, shame for Here I Am, I'm pleased that he came 2nd though! I'd say that it was always a foregone conclusion but had the juries turned against Jedward then Andrew could have won...
February 24, 201213 yr Author I liked Jedward last year. But they're UNBEARABLE this year. And the song is average. :(
February 24, 201213 yr I am happy that they let Jedward to win. Waterline was definitely the best song of the night. Good luck Jedward. After the disappointment of mine on Austrian National Final result, now Jedward made my night.
February 24, 201213 yr I do feel bad for the others though. If I was a singer and was ever going to take part in eurovision, I would want to know in advance if there was going to be any twins or turkeys taking part. I wouldn't be surprised if many self respecting artists don't go for eurovision because of this situation that has been set up where chances there will be this on trend participant that will soak up all the attention. My favourites always come 2nd.
February 24, 201213 yr The right winner from the five, but I doubt it'll do anywhere near as well as Lipstick did.
February 25, 201213 yr So Jedward are definitely doing Eurovision again? That'll be interesting (again.)
February 25, 201213 yr So Jedward are definitely doing Eurovision again? That'll be interesting (again.) Yep! They won both the Jury vote and the televote scoring 114 points in total! (Out of 120) :)
February 25, 201213 yr Yep! They won both the Jury vote and the televote scoring 114 points in total! (Out of 120) :) Wow! I'll have to listen to the song now. 'Lipstick' was not bad.
February 25, 201213 yr DITTO to the last post. I hope a piece of lighting equipment in Baku falls on them.
February 25, 201213 yr I loved Lipstick but Waterline is awful (perhaps just echoing my hate for cookie cutter boyband pop)... :manson:
February 25, 201213 yr My favourite song last night was Here I Am, but I don't think it would have had a good chance to do well in the Eurovision. So overall I'm happy Jedward won. I also loved when the host Ryan Tubridy called the envelope "a Lady Gaga-like envelope"
February 25, 201213 yr After watching the show i wasnt a big fan of any of the 5 songs to be honest, so Jedward going through doesnt bother me but i knew they would go through anyway. Last year i hated lipstick when it went through but it did grow on me, i was convinced last year that Jedward wouldnt even come out of the semis. Jedward were very popular last year and they will build on that popularity which could stand well to them for votes, i think they will definitly come out of the semi final but overall i dont know how they will do, it will be interesting to see how they stage the song as last year they staged lipstick very well.
February 25, 201213 yr Sitting at number 2 on Irish ITunes already Waterline could well be number 1 on the official chart next weekend!
February 26, 201213 yr I think it will go number 1 this coming friday but if not it will definitly get there at some point especially when they release the phyisical, i bet when the phyisical is released they will add lipstcik as the b side aswell so its kinda a 2 for 1!!
February 26, 201213 yr Am i the only one that is pleased about Jedward winning?? I know its early days but the bookies have Ireland favourite to win - Jedward and eurovision fit like a glove !
