February 6, 201214 yr I know we've stopped talking about this, but just to clarify, the exception to this is if an artist is added specifically for the single release (I also change the title if the title changes in addition to the added artist, for example 'Gettin' Over' by David Guetta feat. Chris Willis was changed to 'Gettin' Over You' by David Guetta and Chris Willis feat. Fergie and LMFAO for the single release). In the case of Luniz, the album version and single version both have the Michael Marshall vocals, he's just not credited on the single release for some reason. I see your point, but as he wasn't originally credited, and it's just a random compilation album that is giving him a credit now (not a Luniz release), so I'm sticking with just crediting the group in my records and noting the re-appearance of the track as a re-entry of the original, 1996, track.

You must have not seen my earlier post :P He WAS credited on the original album (Operation Stackola), just not on the single release.
February 6, 201214 yr The likes of 'Lungs', 'Crazy Love', 'The Fame', 'Sigh No More' and '19' are well on their way (the former four are yet to leave the official top 100 yet, Crazy Love and The Fame even have unbroken top 75 runs since release). I'm sure '21' is going to be around for pretty much the rest of eternity also. But Rumours and Gold etc have all spent the quivalent of 7 or 8 years in the T75 - I can see Lungs and Crazy Love etc hanging around for a good while yet, but do you really think they've got four or five years' worth of T75 mileage left? It'd be great to see it happen, though!

February 7, 201214 yr Spicefunk - Yes, because the entire Top 100 is counted from August 1981 to January 1989, the Albums with the 'Most Chart Weeks' are:, 1) Rumours - Fleetwood Mac (1977) = 483 Weeks (371 in the Top 75) 2) Greatest Hits (One) - Queen (1981) = 476 Weeks (414 in the Top 75) 3) Bat Out Of Hell - Meat Loaf (1978) = 474 Weeks (440 in the Top 75) 4) Gold - ABBA (1992) = 449 Weeks (449 in the Top 75) With the ABBA Album, (644 Weeks), & Queen Album, (639 Weeks), having the most Weeks in the Top 100, over all. 'Legend', by Bob Marley & The Wailers, is 3rd - 583 Top 100 Weeks. (396 Chart Weeks, in the All Time List - 366 Top 75 Weeks + 30 Top 100 Weeks). 'Rumours' is 4th - 513 Top 100 Weeks. 'Bat Out Of Hell' is 5th - 506 Top 100 Weeks. SKOB - 'Greatest Hits', by Simon & Garfunkel, is currently on its 288th Top 75 Week. It has 296 Weeks overall, as it gets 8 Top 100 Weeks from the August 1981 to January 1989 period. Over all, it has spent 303 Weeks in the Top 100. Thanks Zeus, more than I could have hoped for! Do you have figures for S&Gs Bridge Over Troubled Water by chance (eligible chart weeks, top75, top100)?
February 8, 201214 yr Spicefunk - 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' by Simon & Garfunkel (1970) 1) Top 75 = 310 Weeks - the 9th most ever. The 296 Top 75 Weeks of their 'Greatest Hits' Album, (1972), puts that in 10th place. 2) Top 100 = 329 Weeks. (So, it has spent only 19 Weeks between No.76 & No.100) 3) It did not enter the Charts - at all - from W/E 7th February 1976 to W/E 9th October 1993. A gap of 17 Years & 8 Months, with no Chart Positions. 4) Its 278 Top 40 Weeks are the most by an Artist Album. The 219 Top 40 Weeks of 'Greatest Hits' are the most by a 'Hits' Album.
