La Roux to play three comeback shows with gigs in Brighton, Bristol and Coventry confirmed.

I'm THERE. It's been far too long :snif:

"can't wait to get out on the road again and for you to hear what I've been doing for the last year."

Has Elly ditched Ben?!

They were never fantastic first time around, "In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof" aside (the latter of which I am getting back into again thanks to its usage in Pitch Perfect ). I'm interesting to hear what she comes up with this time though!

In for the Kill is seriously the worst on the album. It's ok, though.

No! Stop spreading such lies. 'In For The Kill' is truly wonderful and seriously underrated. Took quite a bit of time for me to really get into it but it's amongst the very best on their début for me.

BLARGH!!!

La Roux performing new song Tropical Chancer

I'm going to see her live again next Friday and may just BURST in excitement at the site of it all.

:w00t:

The first new song to be unveiled, 'Uptight Downtown’, contained dancehall-style piano and lyrics asking "When did all the people decide to change their shoes?" Further dancehall influences could be heard on 'Sexoteque', the title for which Jackson is adamant is not 'Sex Attack', "like my manager thought."

The most revealing of the new songs came in the form of 'Kiss & Not Tell' which had Jackson singing "All I want to do is come out of my shell." Meanwhile, the instrumental sections of 'Tropical Chancer' saw her playing air bass along to the track.

If the titles are anything to go by, this is going to be quite the album.

It's all very, very good. EEK!

From what i could make out (over the screaming lesbian that happened to find herself right behind me), the lyrics are a treat and instantly catchy (i was already singing along half-way through the new song choruses). Oh and some really, really KILLER beats too!!! The Sexoteque chorus is brilliant and i expected Kiss and Not Tell to be a ballad, but it was very much another stomper.

I'm even more excited about all this now, and need to hear the studio versions sharpish. There were two new band members and even when they played album #1 tracks, it was all turned up to the MAX so i can only imagine what they else they have lined up now for this album...

Oooh, most anticipated album of the year for me so far?

I loved everything on the first album and played to death, so I naturally can't wait for this. Do we have some indication of when we get a single or something?

WHERE IS THIS EXACTLY

This pair know their way around a melody and a synthesiser and I want music now

I'm really hoping this CD doesn't make it into production lol
The debut was so good. I hoping that if this ever sees the light of day there is a song in the same vein as the wondrous 'Cover My Eyes'.
