I know the UK stores well HMV (apart from the Oxford street store) are so crap at doing that kinda display thing the rest of the world do it better.

 

When MDNA was out I was hoping My HMV would do a big display but they never did.

A Special 3 Disc Box Set has been released in France with the following albums Madonna, True Blue and American Life.

 

Who's That Girl Soundtrack 12" has been re-released in America and Sweden yesterday under the Hi Horse Records.

 

Music 12" maxi single will be re-released on December 31st in Austria.

The Who's That Girl OST 12" has now been deleted.

:o Why!? I was going to start myself a Madonna vinyl collection!

Warner withdrew it and have deleted it since. :(

I'm sure they will cash in at some point and re issue it.

Warner Brothers Japanare re releasing The Immaculate Collection & GHV2: Greatest Hits Volume 2 for the Ninth and third time in Japan. The catalog numbers are both with new catalog numbers (TIC - WPCR14733 and GHV2 - WPCR14734) and OBI stripes out on December 3rd.

Like A Prayer - 25th anniversary edition

Today, it was announced that Madonna is going to re-release her 1989 classic album "Like a Prayer" Even though a date hasn't been set, Madonna finally agreed with Warner Brothers to celebrate the album's 25th year anniversary.

 

The re-released album will have a couple of never before heard tracks that didn't make it to the final album. There will also be a "Like a Prayer" app that contains many things Madonna fans will go crazy for, including a scene from the "Like a Prayer" video where she jumps off a diving board at UCLA and belly flops in a pool. The main camera missed the shot, but one of the low quality video assist cameras got it. The app will also feature footage of Madonna in the studio with producer Patrick Leonard.

 

It is believed that Warner Brothers is trying to make an agreement with Pepsi in order to re-release the "Like a Prayer" commercial, which was banned because of the controversial video.

 

UPDATE

Warner confirm there's no plans to re issue Like A Prayer.

Warner Music Holland have confirmed that the Something To Remember album will be re-issued on 12" vinyl on August 30th so that will probably be on September 2nd in the UK.

Like a prayer would have been great if it had some bonus material added to it. Not just a few remixes added to it that have already been put out like the 2001 remastered first three studio albums had done.

I'd like to have seen the 'Like a Prayer' Pepsi advert back on TV. I saw an old advert back on TV today in fact, nothing Madonna related though.

Something To Remember Vinyl Details

The vinyl to Madonna's Something To Remember was available in very limited quantities when it was first released. Now once more available on 180 grams vinyl with original artwork and cut from the original mastertapes. This is a true must have for the Madonna fan!
