February 10, 201213 yr Oh god no... the clip from the megamix made it sound like one of the worst things she's ever done. Oh christ.
February 10, 201213 yr It certainly didn't sound that good, but (one of the) worst she's ever done? Far from it.
February 10, 201213 yr Sounds good from the clip, I really doubt it's the best choice though. What if it IS the best choice? :drama:
February 10, 201213 yr It certainly didn't sound that good, but (one of the) worst she's ever done? Far from it. But even her worst output has sounded like Madonna. That clip could be the second single by any flopstar who finished 9th on Dutch X Factor.
February 10, 201213 yr Well if we're talking about sounding like her, as in you could TELL its her, then that absolutely sounds like her. If we're talking about generic/faceless, then stuff like Revolver and much of Hard Candy is far more guilty.
February 10, 201213 yr It's very generic and faceless I agree (Give Me All Your Luvin' isn't exactly innovative either, but it's different from chart music now), but you can still tell it's Madonna. Reminds me very much of Wynter Gordon though, which kind of proves Jark's point (even if With The Music I Die is the 2nd best album of 2010)... Like I said, great as it is, I very much doubt once we've heard the album that many people will agree with the single choice.
February 11, 201213 yr Given its only 30 seconds I don't know how anyone can make up an opinion of it. I think it has a Get Together sort of sounds which is no bad thing.
February 11, 201213 yr Given its only 30 seconds I don't know how anyone can make up an opinion of it. You can get a perfectly good idea of the super-cheap production.
February 13, 201213 yr flipping heck JARK you're being really tough on everything Madonna at the mo, I didnt think it sounded that bad.
February 13, 201213 yr I like the 30 mins bit, but I would prefer to have Masterpiece as second single, although nowadays it could flop. It reminds me a lot on the Ray Of Light era
February 13, 201213 yr I have a feeling Madonna aint gonna do that well this era. Gimme all your lovin has received such mixed reviews from the fans. I've not heard the new song but if its anything along the lines of the first or even worse still, then I wont be buying it. I've been a Madonna fan since the beginning and the only album I havent got is hard candy. Didnt like the style of it and am beginning to think i wont be getting the new one neither.
February 13, 201213 yr flipping heck JARK you're being really tough on everything Madonna at the mo, I didnt think it sounded that bad. Haha! Guilty as charged... maybe it's just because I'm listening to so much of her back catalogue lately and know she can do so much better. It's really sad that her heart isn't in music at the minute. I'll still try and enjoy the new album for what it is I guess. I just think that even songs like Triggering and Broken do the generic dance thing much better than what we've heard of Girls Gone Wild and Turn Up The Radio.
February 13, 201213 yr I think Girls Gone Wild sounds quite promising from what you can tell from a 30 second clip. Reminds me a bit of the Confessions era a la Get Together
February 13, 201213 yr I love that some Madonna stans are pretending that GMAYL was just a promo single now that it's kinda flopped.
February 13, 201213 yr I mean anyone with half a brain cell could see "Give Me All Your Luvin'" was never going to be a bucket seller.
