Art Bastian and Camille Purcell are the ones behind What About Us, so you might want to add them also.

They have worked with The Jam (Here Standing) again.

They have worked with Ina Wroldsen also, that's pretty obvious lol.

Is 30 Days gonna be on this album?

Why not?

Why not?

I hope they leave it off, a non-album single will suffice for '30 Days'! I don't think people should associate a flop single with their new album. They should almost make a fresh start for it with 'What About Us'. Maybe just have it as a bonus track on a deluxe version like Leona Lewis is doing with 'Collide' on her new album.

Why not?

a) It pretty much flopped (even though it went to #7)

b) It was released in May, and 'What About Us' (and the album) won't be out until early 2013

c) It's crap and has already been forgot about

d) 'What About Us' is launching them in America, has a Sean Paul feature, a bigger budget video and is a much better song, so it's much more important than '30 Days' and is acting as the proper lead single for the album.

'30 Days' just seemed like a non-album single solely intended to keep them in the spotlight for a few weeks while they focused on America. If they didn't release a single in the first half of this year, then it'd have been a 20 month gap between 'My Heart Takes Over' and 'What About Us' and the girls would probably have been completely forgot about. The shit song, cheap video, shit choreography and lack of promo pretty much confirms it was just to keep their name out there and nothing else.

I love 30 Days, but I would love them to ignore it so they can add another track instead. Then, I'd just plug the song on my iTunes. It would be lame to ignore another potential track only so we can have 30 Days on the album.

Plus, since I really doubt that they will release the album on the back of What About Us, it would probably mean that we're gonna have a new single around March/April which would probably be the time when the album get released also. So let's pretend that the album is being released on April 2013, we first heard 30 Days in April 2012...Don't you all think that a one year gap is really too much ?

Finally, the gap between What About Us and 30 Days almost feel like their usual gap between new eras. 6-8 months, I reckon. So yeah, this almost feels like a new campaign.

I think they would have been better off keeping their names out there by releasing 'Faster' or 'White Lies'. It would have done the album a world of good and would have served its purpose single wise. It's also much catchier and feels like they have more appeal with the public.

I agree they should have released another single from OYR instead of 30 Days. At least another album track would have boosted album sales (however little). Not to mention they'd probably have better chart runs/sales (as Issues, Ego and Higher have shown).

Your arguments are very subjective because of your hatred for the song. In fact I could change all the above to fit my opinion.

a) It was a hit. It got to #7, it became their 11th top 10 hit and people liked it.

b) It was released too long before the album but it won't matter because it hasn't been on any album, so it'll be on this. Maybe it won't make the US edition but definitely the UK one.

c) It's good and the fact we're still discussing this, means we haven't forgot.

d) I don't see what this has to do with 30 Days, of course it won't be released in the US.

I do agree with you that it was released to test the waters, see if they can get another hit after MHTO.

I hope they leave 30 days on the album. It was a top10 hit and they have everything to gain by leaving it on the album.
I don't want it on the album, it might mean missing out on a recent track they've recorded (greedy, perhaps :P). At best they can put it on a deluxe version of the album or something...
'30 Days' was worse than EVERY track on On Your Radar.

That's because On Your Radar is superior, not because 30 Days is actually bad. It's better than MHTO though

I'd say 30 Days is better than For Myself and the two bonus tracks. No joke, I actually forgot the name of For Myself a couple of weeks ago...

It would be foolish to keep 30 Days off the album, yes it didin't send the chart alight and become a major seller, but it did still sell and might encourage 30 Days lovers to purchase the album. I really hope The Saturdays don't release their album in January and decide to release it after Single 3 (If What About Us is single 2). I just don't think What About Us is the track they need to make them have a decent selling album, no matter how great I think the song is! All Fired Up Part 2 please.

I would love for a Dr Luke/Max Martin track for their new album, it would be PERFECT.

Vanessa tweeted about going through songs for their new album. Clearly, she's not talking about making the tracklist and all, but I suppose they have already a bunch of tracks. They have been in the studio since January, afterall.

I want this album so bad. :cheer:

edit : so Frankie tweeted that she was missing a Saturdays meeting because she's sick, so then I suppose it was all the girls and the label and not just Vanessa going through the songs.

I hope the album is not released in January! I know they stated in interviews previously it was being released in January... :(

January's quite a good time TBH, it's after the Xmas rush and tends to be quite dead, so they'll hopefully chart higher.

Nothing's confirmed and some people think January might be way too soon, apparently. I think it's enough time, but hey, we'll see.

January would be good I guess for a great chart position, but the sales are going to be really poor. It will probably sell less than OYR in the first week. Although, hopefully, it will sell more in the long term.
