I'm glad it's doing well. The Deluxe edition seems to be the one getting most of sales, though, so I'm guessing the people who are buying it are part of the fanbase.

Yeah but It should expose the album to the public

UPDATE - #101

It's sad because I would say that being in those positions the days before the release would be a good signal. We'll see how Living For The Weekend goes!

I don't understand this..OYR was never at #12 #22 on iTunes before release?

The highest it got to was 100/160 just before release

It must've been when released, cause the only artist that gets even close to the top 10 during that period is Rihanna. I never once saw OYR in top 100 before release

The album is at #99 now, kworb takes a while to update

' On Your Radar ' peaked at #68 when put up for iTunes release. I'm contemplating purchasing the normal edition as it will only cost me £5. I don't know how ' Living For The Weekend ' will do, It all depends on the promotion and if ' Disco Love ' is falling quickly down the charts, quickly move onto single five.

Hopefully they release at least 2 singles after the album release!

Hope so too! But we have to keep in consideration;

-OYR would've peaked at #68 when it was approaching the release. This albums already top 100

-The majority of pre orders on LIving up for the weekend are by fan base so there's a possibility it will slip down by tommorow.

- However it may expose the fact they are releasing a new album to other people, outside their fan base, which may explain why they are still at #99 after all these hours of being there.

-Disco Love will most likely go Top 10. But a good 4 weeks in top 20 Is what I hope if they want the album to also stay up a little. Airplay isn't too bad either. Just a little worse than AFU

Both versions are on Ireland's Ituens chart

Deluxe edition - #167

Standard - #168

One after another!

UPDATE - #95 on UK albums!!

I'm getting a little bored of their updates. Giving us a description of the song is doing nothing buzz-wise.

I don't see why they couldn't have done two 30 second clips of the songs each week leading up to the release. That would certainly be generating some buzz.

I just pre-ordered the normal edition on iTunes as I've already pre-order the Deluxe Signed poster and the Standard CD Edition from Amazon.

The standard edition will only be around a fiver for me too so I couldn't resist!

I think they've learn't their lesson regarding generating a 'buzz' they will release the 30 sec previews on iTunes nearer release after they've done promo, They know full well fans pre-order the album anyway at first so the 'buzz' later on will help with the general public.

I sometimes think that could backfire if the clips sound shit and people decide not to bother with the album. Not giving us snippets keeps it a bit more mysterious.

We also have to take into consideration that album sales are MUCH lower this time of year than they were when On Your Radar was released. Right now you'd only need to sell around 3k-4k to make Top 40, mid November yous need at least 10k if not 15k!

I'm hoping they can AT LEAST do 15k given the extremely low sales right now.

I'm pretty confident they must of shifted a fair amount of Physicals from the Universal store.

I really want this album to be a success, because I honestly don't think they'll be around for much longer :(

The main reason OYR kinda flopped was because if the sales climate, at that time of year people aren't looking for pop albums. They are looking for Christmas albums. There were 10 of them in front of them at the time. (Michael bubble,Now thats what i call Christmas, Christmas no.1 ballad, now that's what I call Xmas songs...etc) then there are artists like olly murs and JLS who's albums sound very Christmassy therefore they do well at this time of year. The TV add was barely played and promotion was low. There were so many reasons to why this album didnt do so well. It would've most likely peaked in the top 10 around January. Not because of its sales, but because pop songs and albums tend to fare better after Christmas. I don't know why but its been mentioned several times on the UK chat forums on buzzjack.

BUT positions mean NOTHING! It's all about the sales.

A top 3 album rings better than a top 75 album, though.
