I hope it's released within the first quarter at least. I need some new Sats music! I'd rather 30 Days didn't make the album. Seeing as it was released closer to the OYR campaign than this and the artwork matched that of OYR, it just feels like it belongs to that album. I've it stuck in after Last Call on my album.

I would like if it wasn't included on the album just to get an extra unheard track, hehe. :P

They recorded/finished four tracks today/yesterday. They are working quite hard, it's nice to know.

Article from Digital Spy. The fact they're working with bigger producers hopefully means this could potentially be their best album yet. I'm hoping for a mixture of On Your Radar and Headlines (the new tracks separate from Wordshaker) style songs.

So dance, but more poppy I suppose? Yeah, I wouldn't mind!

The only thing I'm scared of is that they rely too much on the fact that they have been working with some bigger producer/writer. It's not because they are a bit more famous that they are necessary better. They could still get a gem from someone totally unknown. Hopefully, they have that in mind...

According to Frankie on their newsletter:

Between all this festive planning us girls have also spent some time in the studio putting final touches to our new album.

The album is definitely ready or will be before the end of December. :cheer:

The question is... January or April? It's either one of these two as the girls said it will be released in the first half of next year. Also, if they are indeed releasing What About Us in January, the second single should come 10 weeks later, so in April. Same for the album then.

It's all so exciting. :yahoo: Obviously, the January time would be the best for us 'fans' as we would get new music quite soon, but maybe the April time might be better for them, especially if they have a better track than What About Us to release as the second single just before the album.

Definitely not January. It depends on the number of singles they release before it. If we only get What About Us then it could be out as early as february. If we get a 3rd single (yes, I count 30 Days) it would take at least 2 more months. So it's definitely between February or April (so long as the new single is not delayed).

Well, technically, if they release What About Us on January 13th or 20th, the album would definitely be released in January as it will be released one week after. But with the delay of the UK premiere of Chasing The Saturdays, they might go for the last week of January or the first one of February, and then, yes, the album will be released in February.

That being said, they will most likely release a second song before the album, so April is probably the best bet.

Pretty sure if it was coming in January, we'd be aware of that by now. The album schedule already stretches to 31st Jan.

Chelsea (from Chelsea Lately on E!) said the album is called "Chasing The Saturdays" and is out the 26th January. It's either a mistake...or quite a weird move.

I don't mind. New music from them!

How strange, an album in a little over 2 weeks time? Seems odd to me. Also, the 27th is a Sunday, but albums are usually released on Tuesdays in America?

My bad, it's the 29th!

I'm sure it's a mistake since it's pretty much EXACTLY the same thing as the show. I mean, the cover, the name, everything.

It must be an EP or a full album of all their past singles.

Or it's really some new material and I'm just so excited if it's true. Imagine, 12 new tracks.

Now you mention EP, I can kind of imagine this being a digital exclusive 'starter pack' EP. A little introduction to some of the Saturdays' music, but not exactly a major release? Just something to tie in with the show.

It is.

What About Us + 4 other classics.

Basically Headlines 2.0 HA!

The Saturdays have apparently recorded a song with Demi Lovato according to Digital Spy.

Hopefully a Skyscraper/Give Your Heart a Break hit please!

I love how that "album" art incorporates both the generalized The Saturdays font and also the font from the Wordshaker releases. :)
i guess its to maximise sales from people searching the series. makes sense though, its not costing them anything to release other than a distribution fee to sites like itunes. i doubt its getting a physical release

I bet:

01. What About Us

02. Up

03. Higher

04. All Fired Up

05. Issues or Ego
