On the 18th February, 'In Your Eyes' was released as the follow-up to the million selling 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' and the second single from 'Fever'. It was infact delayed a month in the UK as CGYOOMH was still massive in the charts and airplay. It debuted at number 3, behind Westlife and Enrique, selling 52,000 copies in it's first week, and was certified "silver" a month after release. The song spent two weeks in the Top 10, 7 weeks in the Top 40, 17 weeks in the Top 75, and 28 weeks in the Top 200.

 

In Your Eyes is my favourite single from Fever, I think it was a brilliant follow-up and when I was younger, it was my joint favourite song ever, along with CGYOOMH. The video is stunning too! :wub:

 

 

What's your opinion on the song? Is there any remixes or tour versions you love? Do you think it should have been delayed or released when originally scheduled (like in Australia, where it reached #1)?

Looking back at those chart stats, 'In Your Eyes' wasn't the massive follow-up CGYOOMH should have had, but it's a solid pop song which I still occasionally listen to. I can't fault a lot of Kylie's early 2000s stuff tbh.

But it was massive on radio - 5 weeks at number one and 10 in the Top 10 :D Although in the official chart, yeah, it should have been bigger

I love this song. Its probably one of my fav Kylie singles ever. So much better than CGYOOMH in my opinion.

I do like in your eyes but i always felt love at first sight should have been the follow up to cant get you out of my head as i think it would have capitalised better on cguoomy success. In your eyes should have been third single.

it's my second favorite song from her <3 it was massive her, just like all singles from fever.

My third favourite Kylie song, and my favourite single from Fever too. It was actually #2 all week in the midweeks and got marginally pipped at the very last minute.

 

For me it never grows old. It's sleek, stylish, funky and Kylie at her best. :wub:

 

 

In Your Eyes is a masterpiece. Possibly even better than CGYOOMH for me and miles ahead of Love At First Sight. I think Kylie fans really underrate it.

 

Amazing video too but then all of the Fever singles had great videos.

An amazing single from an amazing album during an amazing era! I agree with thoughts that Love At First Sight might have been a bigger follow up to CGYOOMH.
