Clearly going to have to watch that.

I'm anticipating it muchly (not because of her but because the UK series was one of my all time favourites). I'm clearly going to be annoying by every little detail they change though. They've already changed the characters' names and stuff and I'm like WHY? WHY DO THAT? But it should be good soapy fun...

Yay! Looking forward to seeing Alyssa on my TV again.

First image from The Carrie Diaries on CW:

AnnaSophia Robb is WONDERFUL so I may actually end up watching that... I'm not sure I can connect that photo to Sarah Jessica Parker though.
Alyssa Milano <3 I love Rose McGowan too, shame she butchered her face though :(

I had no idea. What the hell.

Oh my GOODNESS. She's not even 40 yet.
LOL! That's genuinely shocking. Bloody Hollywood. Makes intelligent women do stupid things.

She looked perfectly normal in the last season of Charmed (:sniff:) so it's clearly a more recent decision to ruin her face.
Don't even get me started on how upset I am that Rose has destroyed her face. :(
Eva Longoria has joined Devious Maids as an executive producer. This show is almost certainly getting a pick-up and could be great just going by the cast/producers but I'd rather she stay on screen.

I really like the look of that. It also stars Laura Benanti aka the best thing about The Playboy Club. Deadline reckons other networks might start giving series early pickups to get the pick of writing staff. Exciting! :D

Deadline have written another of their 'hot list' articles - you can read it here but I'm guessing the CW bit will be of most interest...

With so many CW shows — including this season’s entire freshman class — underperforming, will the network go for an extreme makeover with a slew of new series orders for next season? Along with early frontrunners ARROW and THE CARRIE DIARIES, I hear BEAUTY & THE BEAST came in good and is picking up momentum. CULT continues to be strong, with Hunger Games-esque THE SELECTION and medical drama FIRST CUT also in serious contention. For Cult, the CW has indicated it would use the cable model with shorter, uninterrupted seasons. Will the network pick up all six? While never done, I hear that is a possibility this year.

I doubt they would pick up six but I'm betting there will be four picked up. Personally I think First Cut and Cult won't find room but who knows? Also there's no mention of Joey Dakota (the murder mystery time travel musical) or Shelter there (JJ Abrams) so who knows what's going on with those.

I wish networks would air the pilots which don't get a series order. Or at least put them on iTunes.

The CW probably need to start again though. Supernatural, Vampire Diaries and 90210 are their only dramas that haven't hit below a 0.5. They've a good set of pilots there, I think there's 4/5 potentially very strong ones. I think they'd be mad to pass up the opportunity with some of them. It's boom or bust time for them agaun, they're doing so shocking as a network that they need to take a gamble or two again. Everyone thought Ringer would do OK for them, but I thought the storyline looked terrible. Then when I saw the terrible it just looked an utter cheesebomb. SMG was the only reason people watched.

I can't remember all the pilots I liked. But no surprise to see what CBS will pick up. Elemetary and the Dennis Quaid drama are nailed on.
