I'm very optimistic about Euphoria landsliding it actually, maybe more so than I should be considering how off I've been with all of my other 'they'll walk away with it' type predictions so far this year  Even if the juries don't have it first, I'm confident that there'll be enough of a margin in the televote for her to win overall, I still reckon she'll walk that at least.

Completely agree with this, it's becoming increasingly obvious with all the various sources flooding in, with Loreen at #1 in the Swedish charts, and what not. With televoting on her side, I fail to see that the jury will pull her down THAT MUCH if at all. Infact, I'm sure the juries will love her too - and she will walk away with it.

Oh I KNOW. Props on the Miskovsky love but he really is HORRENDOUS in his near-autistic antipathy towards Sweden and hyped tracks :manson: And Peter hit the nail on the head in the Facebook group - the problem with his criticisms generally isn't that he's making them (after all, opinions are opinions), but that he does it in such a sneering manner.

Is this real life?

TWO stars for Euphoria?! I'll take those and shove one in each of his eyes *.*

(wow, real stanning going on here!)

Miskovsky is his 'chosen one' for this year and everything else is $hit. In what world can Euphoria ever be considered on par with Thorsten's song, seriously? And two stars below Soldiers :/ If Ireland were sending Mirakel it would be the best thing since sliced bread, and he'd find the whole thing hilarious and genius. Guaranteed.

The one thing useful I got from that is that Thorsten plays psychopaths on TV. Makes sense.
I love the bit which states "the international juries are not made up of music professionals, but rather Eurovision fans who often have dubious tastes." The irony!
Euphoria, Amazing and Why Am I Crying are all 5 star songs! What the hell is he on with? Why Start A Fire is close too 5 stars too (but he slightly overestimated that one!)

Funny how he always loves the Swedish-written songs when they represent Ireland, eh? :manson:

I know I'm more patriotic than most (hi Daz and Scooch) when it comes to our entries, even though I know most of them are shit, but I'm sure that he believes that every Irish entry is the best in the competition each year. As IF he'd have liked Lipstick if it was in the Melodifestivalen final :/

If Loreen loses this I don't even know what I'll do. I haven't contemplated a Eurovision without Euphoria. It'll be even worse if Danny wins, I really can't stand him.
I would ignore him as he has his 12/1 and 16/1 both as 4th favourite to win, and doesn't have a 3rd favourite to win. Odd...

Danny is her only realistic competition, the dress rehearsal audience results had Loreen on 44%, Danny on 33% or something and nobody else with more than 5%

The juries will have to really scupper her for her not to take it because I'm sure she'll win on the televote. I love Amazing but I'd be gutted if Loreen didn't win now, purely because Euphoria is better than the 30 songs confirmed so far for Eurovision combined  And don't despair if the international juries don't rate her highly, Malena won in 2009 having been 7th or 8th in the jury voting.

Nobody got an overwhelming jury lead in 2009 though!

She still had quite a deficit to overcome iirc. I'm sure Mans was a good 60 points clear of her before the televoting results, it was only because he crashed and burned in the televote that Malena and Caroline stomped all over him, Caroline was only about 5th with the juries too...

It would be absolutely devastating to see the juries give Amazing 100 points or something and Euphoria only 40, I'd wonder what on earth they were all on. I don't care if they let Lisa Miskovsky comfortably top the jury vote because she won't come anywhere close to Loreen in the televote, just don't let Danny landslide the jury vote!

Indeed, but there's no way that Danny's coming fifth or whatever with the public!

True, it's not a given that she'll win but she'll have to be royally screwed over by the international juries not to. To the tune of a 50 or so point deficit between her and Danny I'd say, which is possible but highly unlikely.

Seriously, all Loreen fans, quit the worrying, she's got it wrapped up, and I'm growing more convinced by the day (after originally thinking she'll slump into a disappointing 15th) that all the HUGE hype surrounding this could really point towards Stockholm 2013.

I'm bracing myself for tomorrow's disappointment, but once I get over Danny losing, I'll be able to appreciate 'Euphoria' a lot more. :D

The sad thing is, I loved Stay The Night in 2009 just as much as I love Euphoria, the difference was that I knew Alcazar had no chance of winning and accepted it. If Loreen loses then it will possibly be the most horrifying 'one that got away' of all time. Where Stay The Night would have probably mid-tabled it at Eurovision, I strongly believe that if they throw away Euphoria then they're throwing away a winner. Short of lightning striking twice for Italy, the Eurovision winner hasn't been confirmed yet.
