I've come to the conclusion that I MAY LITERALLY SHED TEARS if Euphoria doesn't make it through Melodifestivalen, given it's the best track from the contest in YEARS (since Hero at least). It punches on EVERY LEVEL: production, melody, vox, emotion, perf. It simply MUST WIN.

THISTHISTHIS.

We can cry together - if Euphoria wins it would honestly be my favourite Eurovision entry of all time, not even exaggerating. Any other year I'd not be too irked with a Danny win (despite his apparent imcompetence with live vocals, especially the lower register) but this year I simly cannot handle anything else than a Loreen win, even the amazing Molly Sanden winning.

Danny's been in this contest millions of times, so I fail to see how he was more nervous than usual. Also the fact that he's done this so many times and not won says something.

I'm pretty sure Loreen will win this. One video of her performance has 128,000 views, and another has 104,000. One of Danny's has 94,000 and a bunch of dislikes.

This, but only with Amazing instead of Euphoria :kink: But, I can see it's pretty obvious Euphoria has got it wrapped up, sadly.

To my knowledge Amazing DISTINCTLY FAILS on VOX + EMOTION (unless you get wet for 'feeling awesome' http://members.lycos.co.uk/jodylei/Smilies/zombie.gif)

First official chartings of the MF entries in Sweden, they always start off subdued in the first week before soaring in the second, so don't be too concerned;

Loreen - Euphoria #12

Danny Saucedo - Amazing #20

Sean Banan - Sean Den Forste Banan #45

Ulrik Munther - Soldiers #53

Molly Sanden - Why Am I Crying #59

Not exactly a whitewash is it  In other news, Euphoria's halo effect has hauled Sober into the chart for the first time ever, debuting at #56!

Remember that the Swedish charts aren't at all reflective due to the way they're tabulated and Apple withholding digital data from Sverigetopplistan in a strop over Spotify's role (or something - I'm not sure if Spotify plays much of a role in Sverigetopplistan but I know it dominates one of the many charts they have going on in Sweden). Better to look at the digital chart...

1 NEW 1 Euphoria, Loreen

2 NEW 1 Amazing, Danny Saucedo

3 1 5 Ai Se Eu Te Pego, Michel Telo

4 NEW 1 Why Start A Fire, Lisa Miskovsky

5 2 6 When I Held Ya, Moa Lignell

6 3 5 Some Die Young, Laleh

7 NEW 1 Shout It Out, David Lindgren

8 NEW 1 Why Am I Crying, Molly Sanden

9 6 10 Flickan Och Krakan, Timbuktu

10 5 5 Ackligt, Ansiktet

Yeah, it doesn't really deliver on emotion - but I don't particularly look for emotion is a electro stomper. The vox weren't great for the first performance, but I thought he was perfectly fine for the 2nd - and 'Amazing' is a country mile ahead of anything I've heard this year, and I'd go as far to say I prefer it 'Popular', which I still do adore. So, I too would be upset, only if Danny doesn't win (only I've prepared myself for an obvious Loreen win).

I'd prefer Loreen to win but I'd soon get over it and pledge full support to Danny. Both are MILES ahead of anything confirmed for Eurovision so far in terms of quality (sorry Tooji!).
I listened to Molly's song the other day, and that is brilliant too! Such a shame Sweden can only enter 1 act! But I hope that act is Loreen! I'm glad she is the favourite, but I guess the draw could be very important - especially if Loreen is drawn #2 and Danny #8 :o
Loreen and Danny will be 1st and last to perform, depending on which is Christer Bjorkman's personal favourite of the two :P
I'd be inclined to say they wouldn't give Danny the opening spot again, because he got it last year, but then Eric got the closing spot two years in a row..
If Christer's mad keen on Loreen going to Baku he'll put her on last, regardless of whether or not it means Danny going on first again. After the momentum gained from Popular he'll be wanting Sweden to win this year. He's usually good at gauging where the public support is likely to go and puts the favourite at the end almost always, which is currently, narrowly, Loreen.

To be honest, I cannot see Loreen opening the show, or Danny, since he did it last year.

My guess is actually that Shout It Out will open and Danny and Loreen will be 7th and 10th or something.

Also, the Digital chart is not "more reliable" than Sverigetopplistan - all of the Eurogays just say that it is because it contains more Melodifestivalen stuff.

But the fact is, you need VERY few sales to top the iTunes chart (I think Loreen is on about 500 at the moment based on rough calculations, and number 100 is on about 3), and way more people use Spotify in Sweden than iTunes.

It seems very bizarre to me that there's such a vast correlation between what people in Sweden buy and what they listen to on Spotify, I'd have at LEAST expected Loreen to be showing up in the top ten but I'm sure they'll all climb in the coming weeks.

When do Sweden choose their Eurovision entry? Melodifestivalen seems to go on for ages. :D

Hoping Loreen does well. That instrumental sounds like it's supposed to be Avicii's next single. *.*

Next Saturday, it's a 6 week process :)

Doesn't really mean anything, but the audience poll resulted in this;

The first half (duel 1 & 2)

Dynazty: 84 (23.4%)

Top Cats: 106 (29.5%)

Andreas Johnson: 68 (18.9%)

Timoteij: 101 (28.1%)

The second half (duel 3 & 4)

Lotta & Christer: 17 (4.7%)

Thorsten: 88 (24.4%),

Sean Banana: 129 (35.8%)

Youngblood: 126 (35.0%)

Like I say, doesn't really mean much, but it does give me some hope Timoteij may be able to overcome the threat of Andreas!
