March 4, 201213 yr Thanks Eyes! I guess Amazing won't be everybody's cup of tea but I find it just that :D I really love the new Ria song, would be her second #2 if not for Eurovision/Melodifestivalen! It's a lot more melodic, tuneful and current than Over You, so catchy  Nope, i didn't get Alyssa's album, just randomly read that this was the third single in Canada so downloaded it to have a listen, it's decent enough. Embarrassingly, Justin Bieber has had about 5 or 6 hits in my chart over the years, none of them were huge mind  I always forget that Rocketeer even existed, in my mind FEM are a one hit wonder so far :drama: I'd agree with your BJSC views, nothing screams WIN but I think Botanikka (or maybe Tinnmark) will get it, even though they wouldn't on any other month perhaps. Ah, Alyssa's album isn't that strong to be fair, good choice of 3rd single though, only possible single left on the album I think, the rest of the good tracks are clearly ones meant to stay on the album (Go, XO, Live To Tell). I don't hate Bieber, it's just he doesn't appeal for the most part. Rocketeer has stuck in my mind a lot more than Like A G6, simply because I was obsessed for a little while, and it's by far the best track on their album (Yes, I did get it.) *checks his odds* I might be inclined to say that Tinnmark has inched ahead for me now, I can see it appealing to a wider range of people, being pop rather than dance, but in any case, I like it like this, less predictable. Although the last few contests haven't exactly had predictable winners...
March 4, 201213 yr Hey! My comments this week: 1. Loreen - Euphoria (1) (CR-1-1-1-1) I really hope she is as successful on Saturday as all the sales and polls are saying she will be! Euphoria has to go to Baku! 2. Danny Saucedo - Amazing (NEW) (CR-2) I think that might be the first time we had an identical top 2! . I wouldn't mind this going to Eurovision, but I do like Euphoria so much more than this now! 3. Björn Ranelid feat Sara Li - Mirakel (2) (CR-2-3) So it appears I'm the only one who doesn't like this then :heehee: 30. Lotta Engberg & Christer Sjögren - Don't Let Me Down (NEW) (CR-30) I warmed to this one in the end and wouldn't have minded it getting to the final, especially over Thorsten! :manson: 34. Madonna - Girls Gone Wild (NEW) (CR-34) Hmm, I'm not sure if this track will save this era, I think I prefer it to Give Me All Your Luvin', but I can't see Girls Gone Wild being any more successful chartwise 47. Joan Franka - You & Me (NEW) (CR-47) The song does seem to last a lot longer than it does, but it is a nice entry. It should hopefully see The Netherlands back in the final for the first time in, what is it, 8 years now? 51. Marina and the Diamonds - Homewrecker (NEW) (CR-51) An interesting song, far more creative than Radioactive which I thought was a little colour-by-numbers. 64. Frida Hyvönen - Terribly Dark (NEW) (CR-64) This is one of my favourites from this contest, it's very Echo Beach! 70. Eva Boto - Verjamem (NEW) (CR-70) Another very strong entry from Slovenia! I'll be very surprised if this fails to qualify.

Nightwish - The Crow, the Owl and the Dove (73) (CR-73-49) 50. Elen Levon - Like A Girl In Love (NEW) (CR-50) 54. Taio Cruz feat Flo Rida - Hangover (NEW) (CR-54) 55. Vanbot - Got To Get Out (NEW) (CR-75) Fantastic chart, STILL need to hear the Lena album, can you point me in the right direction? :kink:
March 4, 201213 yr Author Hey Rich :D 3. Björn Ranelid feat Sara Li - Mirakel (2) (CR-2-3) Loving your vocal support of this, the hook really is too good! I'd never want it to win, but I do enjoy it quite a lot  4. Gossling - Wild Love (4) (CR-4-4) Didn't click with me at first, but became a favourite over the week! The verses really reminds me of someone, and I can't for the life of me pinpoint who. It's driving me crazy! 5. Ria - The One (NEW) (CR-5) Much more instant that Over You! 8. Laleh - Some Die Young (3) (CR-32-15-6-3-8) I can see why this was a hot choice for BJSC entry, it's absolutely gorgeous! Strings  37. Butterfly Boucher - Not Fooling Around Tonight (67) (CR-67-37) :D Lovely rise! I am wary about how well it'll do, especially in such an unpredictable contest - some shock DNQs seem inevitable! (Not that I'm saying this'd be a shock  ) 46. Gotye - Easy Way Out (NEW) (CR-46) Part of me wishes this were longer, but then it's sort of perfect the way it is! Ah, for the days when songs were 2 minutes as a matter of course... 51. Marina and the Diamonds - Homewrecker (NEW) (CR-51) Strong verses, weak chorus. I love Fear and Loathing but she's really not bringing it this era! I went to her gig last week and I think she's gone a bit nuts 63. Rita Ora feat Tinie Tempah - R.I.P. (NEW) (CR-63) Not so keen on Party and Bullshit, this is terrific though! Nice spacey production, Tinie should help secure a hit 65. Lisa Miskovsky - Lover (NEW) (CR-65) I love that we both had this for ages without realising  Could almost be a different artist than 'Why Start A Fire', that thumping beat is fierce. 66. The Asteroids Galaxy Tour - Heart Attack (NEW) (CR-66) I really think this could be another top five for Tom, and to think I listened to it once a few months ago and promptly forgot it :drama: 69. Regina Spektor - All The Rowboats (NEW) (CR-69) I need to get an mp3 of this, I was stunned at how good it is! I love dark Regina. 75. Vanbot - Got To Get Out (NEW) (CR-75) Would certainly make a top 75 this week if I went that far - initially I thought it might be her best so far, but it hasn't held up after my initial amazement. Still lovely, though, glad to see new stuff so soon! Thanks David :D 3. It MUST do better than dead last in the final, it's so amazing. Oy oy oy. Mirakel. 4. Woo, I know it's not a particularly instant song, meaning that it probably wasn't the best choice of entry ever. That said, it's a bloody massive grower and hopefully people listen to the songs more than once, I absolutely love it, once I 'got it' I wondered how on earth I didn't find it catchy as hell the whole time. Let me know if you find out who it reminds you of in the verses, because I was sort of thinking the same thing but can't put my finger on it. 5. I agree, it would be a bigger hit for me than Over You if not for damn Melodifestivalen :P Brilliant song, I could see it becoming a Buzzjack favourite, if only it got a UK release and stormed up the top ten that is! As it is I'll just enjoy it by myself and hope that others discover it via my chart! 8. Indeed, it's a lovely song, and what I first tried to confirm. I'm very happy with Gossling though. 37. Another song that defines grower (honestly, are there ANY instant songs in this month's contest?). Lovely entry, the verses are very calming and the second half is brilliant. 46. I really think that it works as a two minute song. Shame he's not releasing it here next as I think it could scrape into the top 40, it's quirky enough. 51. Yeah, I know what you mean. I do love the verses and talking parts though! Oh really? She's always struck me as a little insane! 65. I had a play count of 2 on it on my iTunes before BJSC so I must have played it when listening to the compilation it's on from start to finish but it obviously passed me by. It's good though, indeed VERY different to Why Start A Fire. 66. Quite possibly, I've never been big on this band (I saw them live supporting Katy Perry and they were horrible!) but I can't deny this song, it's quite infectious. 69. Begin To Hope was a big favourite of mine in 2007, she hasn't bettered it since but there have been moments of brilliance. 75. Indeed, it's not quite as great as what she's done before but still very good! I might avoid it then, I do like the three singles though, I'm not sure that The Game charted for me but it got very close (and I gave you points in that contest iirc).  I can't call it between Tinnmark and Botanikka, it might be neither of them in fact, I can hardly imagine either running away with it at this stage. Hey! My comments this week: 1. Loreen - Euphoria (1) (CR-1-1-1-1) I really hope she is as successful on Saturday as all the sales and polls are saying she will be! Euphoria has to go to Baku! 2. I'll be very surprised if this fails to qualify. Thanks Ghosty! 1. I hope so too, fingers crossed! 2. Yes I thought the same thing, I didn't expect Amazing to get as high as #2 for you actually, it's very much the 'in' sort of sound in the UK charts, and I very rarely notice any songs like these (Swedish House Mafia/David Guetta) racing up your chart  Euphoria is FAR better, but kudos to Danny, this is easily my second favourite song around at the moment. Euphoria is just a phenomenon! 3. Apparently so, maybe another performance in the final will convince you of its charm? Admittedly it gets slightly less funny with each listen (as jokes do) but the song and production still stand up for me, hence it getting a second week in my top three. 30. I found it instantly charming, I really like it. I can't believe the AC result, I'd previously liked all 8 songs in the final to some extent but I can't stand either of those two :( 34. I'm a little surprised that she's looking set to not have a hit single this era to be honest, Madonna always gets at least one! I guess the download era has killed that for her, the album will surely still be #1 though, I just hope that it's good - and FAR better than Hard Candy! 47. I know exactly what you mean, I get to 2 minutes and think 'is this STILL going?'. I do really like it though, it has a nice chirpy melody and I'd like to see them in the final, even if it's by default by virtue of the stream of crap entries that keep getting confirmed :drama: 51. Definitely agree, the talking parts remind me of Black Box Recorder so I was instantly won over. 70. Indeed. Definitely one of the stronger confirmed entries so far. Hi Rich, thought I'd commented, I guess not! 1. Loreen - Euphoria (1) (CR-1-1-1-1)   2. Vanbot - Got To Get Out (NEW) (CR-75) Fantastic chart, STILL need to hear the Lena album, can you point me in the right direction? :kink: Thanks Tom! Danny FTW? I thought you weren't so keen on Amazing :o Haha yes, what would a March Hit Parade be without an MF whitewash in the top three one week  I really like Be My Guest, for once I'm hoping for Ukraine to be in the top ten, rather than groaning when they get into it with some crap song! COMPLETELY agree about Gotye, this is quirky and punchy enough (especially with the great video) to at least give him a second top 40 hit if it was the next single, Eyes Wide Open whilst decent is only about the 6th or 7th best song on the (brill) album imo and will sadly ensure that his one hit wonder fate comes true :( Finland's entry is lovely, it was my only standout from the Finnish NF so I'm pleased that it somehow won! Will be a slow burner on my chart but will get up there eventually! Honestly I'd never liked The Asteroids Galaxy Tour before, I saw them live supporting Katy Perry in 2010 and thought that they were diabolical (I know you'd feel the other way round about these two acts :P). However, credit where it's due, Heart Attack is both a great song and a great BJSC entry. I'd avoided listening to it until now because of my past opinions on the band but this song has won me over and is another great Numayanian entry, possibly your third top five in a row! Indeed, Nina's song is a bit of a wasted opportunity. I still think that Per Sempre will be another top ten for Italy but they had at least a few potential winners/top 3's amongst their various artists and San Remo. I'll see if I can find a (safe) link for the Lena album!

Oooops, I meant Loreen FTW :drama: Amazing for me is decent but not amazing (if you get me!) That's true, Be My Guest is their best since Svetlana IMHO, though I don't think you liked that much. I can see it potentially top 5 in the final, though I think sometimes there is a curse against black artists in ESC :( Glad you're on board regarding Gotye, the stupid thing is Easy Way Out was already released as a promo single, but that could work to it's advantage if it got airplay. I mean STIUTK was the biggest single of the year in Australia and Eyes Wide Open got to #55 :( Must admit I haven't seen the video though :o It is pretty I agree, but I really liked Iconcrash too, and Habits Of Human Beings was nice. Thank god it wasn't that Stig thing though :puke2: Really? I liked The Golden Age but must admit I'm pretty unaware of them outside of that. I probably would have left after them if I had been at a KP concert, as you say :kink: Glad you like it, I honestly don't see it top 5 but top 10 at a stretch, still as long as it's top half I'd be happy. Really like your song by the way, though her voice is ODD. Yes I think you're right, tbh I like Nina, but the song is just a bit MOR (though I think that is what Italy excels in, maybe more so than Ireland :o) Thank you  I've got it now, I'll check it out and get back to you :D

And Comeback Kid is great, oddly dubsteppy! Glad you like them, Euphoria being 'quite good' is the clear understatement of the decade though. Oooops, I meant Loreen FTW :drama: Amazing for me is decent but not amazing (if you get me!) Hopefully not, I'd like to see it in the top ten at least! Why are they pushing on with an Australian flop for the UK then, why do some artists never learn their lessons!?! I read in the paper earlier that Dappy wanted to cover Somebody That I Used To Know with Jessie J and release it as a single before Gotye got there. The record company said that he wasn't allowed as they'd just signed Gotye - thank GOD that never happened, and justice prevailed with Gotye preventing the awful Rockstar from being a #1! Watch the video to Easy Way Out, it's short and sweet, similar concept to Kylie's Come Into My World video. The Golden Age is their only other track that I'd give any time to besides your entry, I'm sure it can make the top ten quite comfortably. Glad you like my entry, I know what you mean about her voice although I was quickly won over, I like quirky singers. Mikey sent me a PM to say that it sounds like she's swallowed a frog  Nevertheless, it's an excellent song and her 'unique' voice is part of the charm!

I don't know, it's very strange, but Marlon Roudette has still not got any promotion and he's British! Likewise Aura Dione hasn't been picked up here, I would have thought Geronimo would be huge, I was sort of holding out for that to chart it properly :( Really? OH DEAR GOD. I would have actually cut off my own ears if that had happened, there were enough opportunists already. I know right, Rockstar is like an even weaker version of No Regrets, and Brian May really needs to think about what he's doing to not destroy his own legacy (the Live Lounge version of We Will Rock You was LITERALLY heresy). Just checked it out, fantastic video indeed! You never know, they could change their mind... Fair enough, I heard a couple of their other things, but nothing is as good, that said I'm quite looking forward to hearing the album. Oh Mikey  I sort of know what he's saying though. Agree, it's a great song, the voice is still growing on me though, I'm sure you'll make it through though.

Haha, I KNOW, I was horrified to read that. I only heard a clip of that Live Lounge performance on the chart show but it was an utter abomination, as if 5ive and Queen wasn't bad enough already! I'd love them to change their mind but I can't see it somehow, short of it blowing up in Australia very soon somehow. I might give the album a miss, or check it out on Spotify first  Indeed, I think her voice is more 'special' in the verses, it's very syrupy, for want of a better word. It sounds more normal in the choruses though, which is where the song really comes alive  I think most of its fans aren't in my semi tbh but hopefully it's strong enough to qualify on its own merits!

March 7, 201213 yr Thanks Ghosty! 02 - I think I prefer Danny's Amazing to the usual run-of-the-mill UK dance hits because it has more of a dancepop sound and thankfully lacks an annoying rap which most other similar songs tend to have. Euphoria is indeed a phenomenon though, I can't see it being knocked off my top spot for a long while, I just hope Sweden vote for it on Saturday! 03 - Who knows! Right now though I pretty much despise it  . I do want to like it, but I just can't :( 30 - I know what you mean! Both AC qualifiers have really spoilt the final lineup :( 34 - Fingers crossed! She does seem to be lacking an obvious hit this era though. Hung Up and 4 Minutes were both absolutely superb and rightfully became big hits, but GMAYL and this next single don't exactly sound like groundbreaking efforts. I think everyone expects better of Madonna.Â

Watch me be wrong again now :drama: 3. Well that's fair enough  30. Agreed, if only it was Timoteij and ANY of the other five remaining in AC, would have been far preferable to these two! 34. True, although 4 Minutes was only a #6 in my chart. Hung Up was a huge #1 though! I'm hoping there's better on the album, I'm still really looking forward to it! I guess she has a lot of pressure in that everybody always expects something amazing from her based on her immense past form.

I can see the juries favouring Danny more, sadly. It just rests on how much the public support her! 34 - She must do. Looking at the productions credits for the album, it certainly seems like there's a large possibility there will be better tracks on there though, as William Orbit has produced a number of them!
