September 6, 201212 yr Really need to re-read what I write. I meant Nicki's album sold 650K in the USA so far. Anyway, what I'm really getting at here is that Nicki has lost the majority of her core audience, the audience that she originated with aren't backing her anymore, I'm not even saying the Bieber duet would flop, I was just commenting on one comment regarding her popularity rising, which I disputed. And her album sales kindah suggest that. I know being top 5 is a great thing, but look at Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Rihanna... these artists zoom straight to #1 with singles that initiate their album campaign. September 6, 201212 yr The troll's hungry you guys. I really hope for Dan's sake that he's not still trolling after all of this time. If so I recommend a good LAY, because something's clearly lacking in his life if he needs to come onto the internet and say "allegedly" controversial stuff 6 years after joining up. I prefer to believe he's just a dick, and that makes much more sense to me. Really need to re-read what I write. I meant Nicki's album sold 650K in the USA so far. I read it love but you still implied Starships wasn't a hit and that's what I was referring to. Or can YOU not read? (Though I do agree with your edited-in latter point about her audience not being specific anymore and her overall sales perhaps suffering a bit as a result.)

I think my main point is that, it was a huge #1 worldwide hit, I think that's a fairly realistic point. Artists like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift zoom straight to #1, and Nicki is in the same popularity margain as these artists, technically more favourable because she has two key audiences wheres Katy and Taylor kindah only have one. The fact that she's only sold 650K of the album in the US considering she has two key markets, a few top 50 hits, and a few top 10 hits of this album is a little bad, surely? Considering Mariah sold similar with 1 semi-hit.
September 7, 201212 yr And to further my point, there's a reason their re-releasing Nicki's album in Q4. Edited September 7, 201212 yr by dannjohn3
September 7, 201212 yr *they're. Ahhh, I wrote that originally, and then changed it to 'their'. Grammar annoyance moment.
December 22, 201212 yr Because he got so incredibly hot over the past year I decided to listen to the album and it wasn't bad actually (my judgement may be clouded because of said male appearance). The singles + 'Take You Home' are the obvious highlights though. (p.s., I wasn't here)
