And by that I mean what was your ultimate favourite song from each contest from 2000 onwards, and where did it finish in the contest, do your favourites tend to do well or flop? Mine;

2000 - Estonia: Ines - Once In A Lifetime - 4th

2001 - Estonia: Tanel Padar & Dave Benton - Everybody - 1st

2002 - Malta: Ira Losco - 7th Wonder - 2nd

2003 - Iceland: Birgitta - Open Your Heart - 8th

2004 - Ukraine: Ruslana - Wild Dances - 1st

2005 - Switzerland: Vanilla Ninja - Cool Vibes - 8th

2006 - United Kingdom: Daz Sampson - Teenage Life - 19th

2007 - United Kingdom: Scooch - Flying The Flag (For You) - 22nd (shameful I know, but honesty is the best policy)

2008 - Norway: Maria Haukaas Storeng - Hold On Be Strong - 5th

2009 - Norway: Alexander Rybak - Fairytale - 1st

2010 - Germany: Lena Meyer-Landrut - Satellite - 1st

2011 - United Kingdom: Blue - I Can - 11th

Short of a miracle happen, I've just noticed that this will be the first EVER year that Sweden will have sent my absolute favourite entry :o They annually finish 2nd or 3rd in my final rankings! Quite strange considering that they're my favourite ESC country by far. Even the glorious Den Vilda in 1996 was bettered by Gina G! When I'm not getting all patriotic and getting behind the UK entries that go on to flop, all of my favourites actually do pretty well. Now PLEASE let Loreen continue what 2009 and 2010 started, Ell & Nikki winning did not please me.

2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2011 - they are my absolute favourites of the year. And in 2002, 2005, 2007-2009 it's very close.

I'll do it from 2006 onwards:

2006 Sweden: Carola - Invincible (5th)

2007 Serbia: Marija Šerifović - Molitva (1st) - Scooch embarrasingly quite close though!

2008 Sweden: Charlotte Perrelli - Hero (18th)

2009: United Kingdom: Jade Ewen - My Time (5th)

2010: Germany: Lena - Satellite (1st)

2011: Hungary: Kati Wolf - What About My Dreams (22nd) - :(

It's more of a DEFAULT fave. I don't particularly like any other song and Everybody is good.

Interesting. You gave 12 points in Super Eurovision to only FOUR of them. The other three got one of the places in their respective year's Top 4.

SHADY.

LADY.

I do like it, but it just doesn't feel like the best song of the year.

INTERESTING indeed, I'd like to say it wasn't tactical voting but I would be lying.

While I've never missed a show, it's only since 2008 I've took a close interest in it. So...

2008 - Ukraine "Shady Lady" 2nd

2009 - Ukraine "Be My Valentine" 12th

2010 - Iceland "Je Ne Sais Quai" (totally camp and generic, but can't beat a hefty lady with big lungs) 19th

2011 - Sweden "Popular" (as per majority) 3rd

And

2012 - Sweden "Euphoria" (as above) TBC

A bit of a mixed bag results wise, but flags bearing the colours blue and yellow seem to float my boat (aside from Iceland, which yes does not have any yellow in).
