Posted March 16, 201213 yr Remake of the cult soap opera from the 70s featuring vampires, witches and much more. 4cVcpz8H3Pk Looks hilarious. Amazing cast - Depp, Bonham-Carter, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloe Grace Moretz, Eva Green (playing a witch again!) & Jonny Lee Miller.
March 16, 201213 yr Does indeed look fantastic! Everyone knows by now that Burton + Depp + Bonham-Carter = Magic. But with Chloe and Eva added to the mix? I have insanely high hopes for this.
March 16, 201213 yr Looking forward to this, I remember the TV series was a cult fan of it. Tim Burton is already planning a sequel to it. The soundtrack to the film sounds excellent
March 20, 201213 yr Oh, look, Tim Burton doing another "dark", "gothy" film.... And Helena Bonham Carter probably being a bit "mad" and "quirky" in it too... Christ, she's just become so type-cast now. One of the best British Actresses of her generation basically reduced to being the foil for her husband director who's frankly had his day over a decade ago now... I cant honestly say that I've really given a crap about a Tim Burton film since "Sleepy Hollow", and I seriously doubt this travesty of a genuinely classic Gothic Horror/Drama series is going to change my mind.. What I've seen of it just looks absolutely dreadful.....
March 20, 201213 yr Whilst I agree with nearly all of what Grimly says, Tim Burton films are still much more fun than pretty much anyone else's these days. It'll fall short of the brilliance of Beetlejuice but that looks it's nearest companion

It'll fall short of the brilliance of Beetlejuice but that looks it's nearest companion I just think the guy's treading water these days tbh.. I dunno, maybe I'm expecting too much, but I have to wonder just where the next "Beetlejuice" or "Edward Scissorhands", "Batman Returns" or "Ed Wood" is actually gonna come from... Mind you, Scorcese went through a bit of slump at one point, then pulled it back with The Departed, and has now just done the excellent "Hugo"... There's still time for Tim, I guess... But, it's just hard to see where it'll come from.... Dark Shadows aint it....
May 12, 201213 yr I saw this yesterday, it was really good. I couldn't really fault it, but its not Tim Burton's best work.
May 18, 201213 yr I am in Cinema and Movie Discussion & where i dicuss about the movies......... http://assets5.pinimg.com/upload/117726977729570482_GIYt9xWt_c.jpg
May 18, 201213 yr That's nice, thanks for posting. In other news, I have now seen this and was suitably pleased with it. Michelle was absolutely fabulous throughout (her hair *.*), Eva Green remained clothed and didn't try and act the shit out of every line and therefore was also very good. I did think the story was a bit silly though, 90 minutes of build up for a bizarre 20 minute fight off kind of thing. There were lots of very funny bits though, all the stuff about the 70's obviously and lots of little things between Eva and Johnny. All in all, very enjoyable, I'm going to give it an 8/10.
