Brilliant to see Gotye at #1, I hope he can get there on the Hot 100 shortly. I sould easily see fun. and Gotye having the 2 biggest selling singles of the year both in the US and the UK.

Single now at #57, #220 and #544. Album at #71. Looks like this promo actually had an effect! The wonders of a non-terrible performance.

Would be nice for the album to repeak. Although at 71 I doubt it. Then again, 200 people in the audience got a copy, so thats 200 EXTRA sales! Really hope this can go top 50 on the BB100 and out peak the UK.

So fun., who are still doing well over 300k a week, are now only around 55% of Gotye - anticipating either a huge drop for fun. or absolutely MASSIVE sales for Gotye (or perhaps even both) :o Gotye could surely even be heading for 500k+ if his lead holds up?

 

Really hoping Gotye can sell enough to make up the airplay and streaming gaps.

I don't even know if it went top 400. All I know is that it was outside the top 400 at the equivalent time when 'Gold Forever' & 'Lightning' had both been top 100 so it would be the stupidest thing if pushed as a single [i don't know what the source for that though - they don't seem to have confirmed it on Twitter so I sense a bit of a mixup somewhere perhaps].

Does anyone know where to find streaming figures? Given he's #2 on streaming I wouldn't say the gap is that big but it's hard to tell.
