Taylor Swift has been writing songs with Ed Sheeran and tweeted the download link to his album earlier, hopefully she can use her huge fanbase to give him an extra push (too much to hope it works vice versa in the UK?)

What I do find amusing is how Justin Bieber was pushing 'Call Me Maybe' earlier in the year and she's supporting him on tour later this year and now the song has blocked a couple of his promo singles from iTunes #1.

[as of 9:29pm;]

105. Lego House - Ed Sheeran

133. Drunk - Ed Sheeran

151. The A Team - Ed Sheeran

190. The A Team - Ed Sheeran

207. Kiss Me - Ed Sheeran

290. Little Bird - Ed Sheeran

307. Small Bump - Ed Sheeran

451. Autumn Leaves - Ed Sheeran

503. Sunburn - Ed Sheeran

510. Gold Rush - Ed Sheeran

587. You Need Me, I Don't Need You - Ed Sheeran

591. Give Me Love - Ed Sheeran

711. Wake Me Up - Ed Sheeran

893. U.N.I. - Ed Sheeran

906. Grade 8 - Ed Sheeran

Not bad at all, hopefully 'The A Team' rises more as he performed it on The Today Show earlier but 'Lego House' could probably work as a second single going by that.

Because Call Me Maybe actually properly crossed over to mainstream success, which is something I think a Bieber single still has yet to do (amazingly enough). If Baby came close and Boyfriend is trying hard, neither has become a smash hit like Call Me Maybe.

but 'Lego House' could probably work as a second single going by that.

I was going to say, it's also been a massive hit in Australia and refuses to leave the top 10. But I really want A-team to deliver the goods first., Do we know if he's got any more promo planned in the US?

Cher's up to #62 and Ellie's back up to #11. The latter could go top 10 when Justin starts falling assuming nothing else overtakes her. She might overtake 1D (#10) before that though.

Ed would be stupid to not push Lego House second in the USA. It was much bigger than Drunk in the UK and releasing You Need Me, I Don't Need You would just be suicide. But like jmarkiv said, perhaps even discussing the second single is getting ahead of ourselves a bit - The A Team hasn't quite made it yet (although it should break the Hot 100 hopefully since it now has two charting versions).

'+' still holding 'Looking 4 Myself' off #1 on the albums feed, with the standard version now at #21! Would it be too far-fetched to think it could challenge for the official #1?

Yes.

Lego House is Ed's best single by a country mile imo. I wish that got all the attention that The A Team got in the UK.

I love it. It's new age Daniel Bedingfield.

She's doing the radio round now ,and what pleases me is instead of the usual top cities, she's going to smaller cities/states like Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, etc. If a Z100 NYC or KIIS-FM LA playlist her, she's as good as gold.

I can only imagine her on the radio speaking like a child. :arrr:

I'd have Give Me Love over Lego House as a second single. Both are radio gold but i think GML is just AMAZING!

Looking in the other thread, britster thinks iTunes counts for less than 25% of the albums market in which case I'd guess that he won't get #1 but should be looking at top 5. Physicals are hard to guess at but I doubt they'd be as strong for him in the US.

One Direction got a slight boost from 'America's Got Talent' (where Carly was also used) last night so they're up to #9 (edit; now #8). Hopefully she can overtake Luke Bryan (WHO?) instead.

Carly has officially knocked Gotye off #1 on the Hot 100. :D

God she took her time to get up there!

Really surprised Drunk On You is still top 10. If it gains more momentum, I could see it doing a Dirt Road Anthem somewhere down the line. Wish Springsteen had the same success, but I'm sure none of you care, since country doesn't seem to be a thing overseas.

Has anyone else noticed how Back in Time has ben top 5 for weeks, yet still hasn't gone top 10 officially on Billboard? Ridiculous. <_< Radio really needs to pick up on that song. I actually quite like it.

After hating it at first, I like Back in time too!

BTW, what's up with Rita Ora's sudden burst into the top 60?!

Well, radio has been absolutely hammering it where I live. I guess that's a factor.

Cher  #52

Rita  #53

Ellie still #11. I expect her to get top 10 sometime in October maybe.
