March 29, 201213 yr Really interesting to see what's most picked up in the background. Sales of hits such as celebration, miles away and gimme all your luvin which were small but mostly digital (and MW usually tell you how many CDs in the 1st week which would be almost all I'll wager these days) could give estimates of how much the rest sold. Unsurprisingly her digital era hits are top of the list I guess Wish they'd just give us a proper bloody sales list!
March 29, 201213 yr Quite surprising that Like a Prayer has sold more than Celebration digitally to be honest. I know Like a Prayer is a classic, etc. but Celebration was a top 10 hit in 2009, so it's very impressive that Like a Prayer has sold more than that!

March 29, 201213 yr How much has '4 Minutes' sold? I guess thinking about it, it does make sense. Four weeks at no. 1 in 2008 when the charts were much slower paces meant songs sold about the same amount for weeks. Where a song these days would sell 120k (1st week), 65k (2nd week), 40k (3rd week), 30k (4th week) etc..., back in 2008 it was more 40k (1st week), 34k (2nd week), 32k (3rd week), 31k (4th week) so the sales climate was lower but ultimately sales didn't decrease week-on-week at such a rapid pace.

Madonna didn't promote it back in 89 let alone in the digital era Rain - a nice surprise! Good to have something from the erotica era. This Used To Be My Playground - a good surprise! Jump selling more than Get Together - I have no issues with it, it's just get together was released before but clearly Jump has over sold get together. There's nothing from the Bedtime Stories album!.
